Kandice Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 Can you tell me how to get rid of the line for each of the shout? I don't want any line in it at all.
Michael Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 As above, you'd need to edit the #shoutbox-shouts-table .row2 td element in the ipshoutbox.css file to remove the definition of the border there.
Kandice Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 Ok I found this, but what should I change it into?#shoutbox-shouts-table .row2 td { border-bottom: 1px solid #d5dde5; vertical-align: middle; }
Michael Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 Remove the line that starts with 'border-bottom'
Kandice Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 The line is still there after I remove it. Already re-cache shoutbox and skin.
Michael Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 Try a hard browser refresh (Ctrl+F5) to reload the stylesheet. That is the line that adds that border.
Kandice Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 Still there after refresh, I try other skin and the line is there on every theme as well. Try edit deleting that line for other theme and it still there.
Michael Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 Then you must have something else setting that border on your skin. I just verified this on my own site, removing that line removes the border between shouts in the application.
Marcher Technologies Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 Then you must have something else setting that border on your skin. I just verified this on my own site, removing that line removes the border between shouts in the application.#shoutbox-shouts-table .row2 td { border-width: 0px!important; vertical-align: middle; } then? agreeing... something in the skin is being... annoying... setting the border-width to 0px should resolve it regardless of what.
Murder On Music Row Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 Michael, This looks to be a pretty awesome app. I am a newbie here. So I don't much know what I am doing and need a little step by step help. I have downloaded this but how exactly do I get it into my board to work? I really need a hand here step by step. Thanks Timothy Smith Investors Forum
Michael Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 The documentation included covers what you need to do to install this. Was there some part specifically in there that you needed help with?

loetie Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 After moving to another server within the same host the smilies are not working anymore. Meaning that when i click on the smilies button, nothing happens. Cleared my cache without result.
Michael Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 Follow the steps here: http://community.invisionpower.com/topic/340044-download-shoutbox-32/page__st__980#entry2219891
Cretster Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 Apologies in advance here since I can only assume I'm doing something really dumb, but having uploaded the files for installing shoutbox 1.2.7 no problem to the normal folders (just done a couple of other mods with no problem so I'm certain it was the right directories) I cannot see the install link at all. I'm looking at the Manage Applications & Modules page but cannot for the life of me see any sort of link to install, or any mention of shoutbox at all. Checked the directory and uploaded again to be sure - 100% upload complete with no errors, but just can't see the install link. Board version is 3.2.2. Probably another dumb question but does it actually work with this version of the board? I know it says 3.2 so I'm assuming it does but thought I'd best double check.....
Michael Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 If you don't see it on the Manage Applications & Modules page, that means the files were not successfully uploaded.
Positive Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 How can i change, so i can send messages on "enter" instead of going a line down. Regards.
Michael Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 That's an option members can enable under their My Prefs popup.
Cretster Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 All sorted thanks Michael - for some reason I had got a folder actually in my file structure on the site called upload and has put them in there instead of the parent folder. Like I thought - a dumb mistake by me, but thanks for the assistance/quick reply.
Positive Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 That dosent work for me i set Enter Key Acts As 'Shout' Button? to yes.But it still going down a line I still have to go down with the mouse and press shout before it sends my messages
Michael Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 Are you using the IP.Board 3.2 version of this app? Because that is a known issue in that version, but you're posting in the support topic for the IP.Board 3.1 version, in which this is not an issue.
Positive Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 I found out. My last question... In my forum section i have the shoutbox in the right side as a side bar next to the topics, when i write i message i want the messages to come from the bottom of the shoutbox, but right now it comes from the top. Its only in the sidebar chat it does that, if i open the big shoutbox menu its doing right.
Michael Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 Edit the settings for the Global Shoutbox hook and change the "Shouts display ordering" setting.
Michael Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 That's the setting that controls how shouts are ordered in the section you referred to. I don't know what else to tell you.
