forum@vuurwerkbelgie.com Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 http://community.inv...ation-upgrades/ You need to upgrade to IP.Board 3.2.1 for the latest version of this app. My board still says it is up2date @ 1.2.0.. Did you released it already? :P
Michael Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 My update checker script isn't live yet, I haven't upgraded my own board to 3.2.x yet, and I need to do that before I can make update checks work. 1.2.1 is released, your ACP just won't notify you of this yet.
xChris777 Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 http://community.inv...ation-upgrades/ You need to upgrade to IP.Board 3.2.1 for the latest version of this app. Michael, I made the mistake of upgrading before 3.2.1 was installed. The upgrader didn't go through all the way, but it says the SB is updated to 1.2.1. Is there any way to "re-run" the upgrader for the SB?
Michael Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 Just go ahead and upgrade IP.Board, the error you would have gotten with the Shoutbox upgrade will be fixed by the IP.Board upgrader.

moethelawn! Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 I hope this is a good place to ask this bud. If not let me know where to go to ask. First off, amazing app. Been using it since day one of our website. But...after upgrading to 3.2...I'd like to not have the Shoutbox Link in our Navbar, do you have a setting in the admin cp or am I going to be removing it from the code itself? Thanks for your time
Michael Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 Edit the Shoutbox application from the Admin CP Manage Applications & Modules page and choose to hide the tab.
Deltafox Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 Hi Michael I have reply to you.. http://invisionfocus.com/tracker/issue-320-missing-edit-own-shout-button/ Thank's
colleen16 Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 Hi Michael, Is there a way to allow guests to choose their own username so that every different guest isn't titled "Guest?"
Maine Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 Hi Michael, thanks for the shoutbox for 3.2.x, I just upgraded my board to the latest version and it's working great. I'm having a problem with the hooks though, the two hooks doesn't show in the sidebar even though I already activated them. I had to manually access the hooks through &app=shoutbox&module=settings§ion=settings&do=hook_global and &app=shoutbox&module=settings§ion=settings&do=hook_active .
HappyCanadians.com Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 Please let me know if we have a version for 3.2 would love to have it Edit: I think i found it http://community.invisionpower.com/files/download/4320-shoutbox/ :)
Michael Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 Hi Michael, Is there a way to allow guests to choose their own username so that every different guest isn't titled "Guest?" No, there isn't. You're in the wrong topic, please keep your questions in the appropriate support topic for the version you're using.
Michael Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 And I still can't reproduce what you're experiencing, and no one else seems to have that problem either.
demoneyezer Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 On IPB 3.1.* there used to be an "Edit Shout" button next to the "Load Moderation Options". Any chance of seeing this back sometime ?
Michael Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 It's still there, I didn't touch anything to do with it.
demoneyezer Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 It's still there, I didn't touch anything to do with it. Strange as it doesn't show up on my side. I did a clean installation of IPB3.2 and 3.2.1 as well (on localhost) and somehow the button is not there. Did I overlook something in the ACP maybe ?
Michael Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 Did you set the group permission that members can edit their shouts?
demoneyezer Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 Did you set the group permission that members can edit their shouts? I did set the edit permissions for admin only so far ...
Michael Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 So then do Admins see the edit button? The button should show up for anyone set up as a moderator that can edit shouts, and for members in a group that are set to be able to edit their shouts.
demoneyezer Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 So then do Admins see the edit button? The button should show up for anyone set up as a moderator that can edit shouts, and for members in a group that are set to be able to edit their shouts. I compared the settings I used on my 3.1.1 live board and they look identic to me. The only button I see showing up is the load moderation options. I created 2 mod groups in the acp with all permissions checked as yes and also in the member group settings I checked the edit their shouts option. Still the button as showed in your pic is missing. I will perform a new clean installation later on today and see what happens.
Deltafox Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 michael you do not understand what I mean .. On fresh installation of forum and shoutbox I have thiss issue.. the shoutbox generated <a tag for edit button .. but the problem is on the default skins of ipb 3.2.x is missing this replacement that you use to display the button :edit_post_icon -> <img src='http://content.community.invisionpower.com/public/style_images/master/comment_edit.png' alt='{lang:macro__edit}' /> the default skins on 3.1.x is that replacement. see two image below ~0~ but not on 3.2.x.. see image below replacement is missing on default 3.2.x fresh installation ~0~Shoutbox generated tag <a .. but not the tag <img inside because is missing replacement as described above... On fresh installation of forum + shoutbox this replacement is missing.... on default skins ipb.. I have explained myself better now? why you blocked me in your issue tracker? there is a problem I do not have invented and incorrect block my answers .. have tried to install from scratch forum and shoutbox?? you'll see that the replacement is missing.
Michael Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 If the macro is missing in a fresh installed IP.Board, then that is an IP.Board bug, as it is an IP.Board macro, I've reported it here: http://community.invisionpower.com/tracker/issue-32574-edit-post-icon-replacement-removed-but-still-referenced/. I didn't block you from the issue tracker, I closed that one report because I couldn't reproduce, and I asked you post here for further issues.
Deltafox Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 I wrote here because I thought you use a old replacement.... if you upgrade shoutbox for compatibility whit ipb 3.2.x probably need to change also edit icon button.. if 3.2.x does not use it regards and thank's for your report.. http://community.invisionpower.com/tracker/issue-32574-edit-post-icon-replacement-removed-but-still-referenced/
Michael Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 It's not an 'old' replacement, IPS still uses that replacement in other places, they removed it from the installation code though.
