Auto award according to downloads and uploads. Downloaded X amount congrats, uploaded X amount congrats.

Award description shown in the profile awards tab.

When on the forums and you put your cursor over an award it says 'This is the award name bla bla this is the award description you got this for bla bla' Is there any way to neaten this up? I could do a mock up idea in photoshop of what I mean if you like?

(Auto award for time since registration was going to be one that I was actually going to ask for )

P.S Seriously sexual stuff here topthrillkid  This is seriously one of the best addons to get for IPB

You can edit the description in the ACP. Look for a setting called "tooltip", or at least one that contain that word.

Does this mod limit the number of awards that display? And if so can a user that has more awards than the limit choose which ones get displayed?

The administrator sets the number of awards which can be displayed at once, and then based on that number, the application shows that many most recently given awards. (new feature for the future, letting members decide which are displayed)

Some suggestions from my side. You are free to leave them out.

Most no. of posts in a month

Most posts in specified sections (total posts - total threads started)

Most likes for a [period]

Cool ideas, I am just not sure how I would have it keep track of the time, and how many likes/posts they got in that period of time.

I know how to enter the description, but the way the description is shown to users of the website on the websites side has it set up like that which I gave an example of. 'This is the award name - Jingles. This is the description - Gained for singing' This is how it looks if you go an award in the forum topic profile sidebar.

So here's the plan:

Award links (A user will receive an award when they click a specified link)
Bulk award by groups
Awards to show next to username in posts (requested by users on my website)
Fix Bugs

The upgrade button which appears when to upgrade is available

Add Auto Awards Functions

Time on forums (since registration, not the time spend browsing/using forums)
Reputation

That's what I was able to find by going through this topic, and ones on my website. Please tell me if I left something out.

Another idea I had was to create something called an "Award Key", it could be used by other applications to refer to a specific award to give, instead of having to know specific ID's. An application author then could add an option to their application which says, "create an award with the key name 'testing'". The administrator would then, while creating/editing an award, type "testing" into the key name field. If the administrator had enabled the award option in the other application, that application could just tell (inv) Awards "award some member the award with the key name 'testing'". Of course it wouldn't literally say that, it would call a function such as:

$award->awardByKeyName("testing", '21');

21 being the user's member id. Tell me what you think.

Number 3 that you are going to add, will not stop the way it displays now, under the Avatar? I much prefer the way it is at present. Hopefully just another display option if you want it...
Also I didn't notice the option to put an expiry date for an award. Could you add this?

Thx

Hi Topthrill!

Loving what you have done with the awards. Best one yet, if this was a paid mod i wouldn't hesitate to get it.

Whats the possibility of allowing a user to order their awards however they want? Something similar to the drag-and-drop method the ACP has?

Thank You!

What happens if a member is awarded with same award twice? How will the users be able to find out looking at the awards?

If something is not already there then it would help to show a small count box in the corner of the award.

That makes sense, I'll look into it. Although, like Mister Blonde said, the profile tab view shows each awarded award individually.

I used to have this installed on IPB 3.1 (I think maybe earlier) Anyway was uninstalled when IPB upgraded until this mod got upgraded. But with one thing an another I forgot about this

I have downloaded the latest file, uploaded it to my server and when tried to install/upgrade I get the following error message

/admin/upgrade/index.php?app=upgrade&section=upgrade&do=caches

any help?

That is a part of an URL, not an error. If the installer is printing that out, I have absolutely no idea what is wrong. If you could post a screenshot in this topic, or in a private message that would be great.

Also as a side note, I had made a crude, crude because I was still learning PHP at the time, version of this application during the IPB 2.3.x era, you may have had that.

Hi,

How do I make it when mouse over a description telling what the award are under Member Profile? This was automatic in previous version, now this new version is gone? Anyway to enable it back?

Thanks!

realy but realy its a great app, awesome topthrillkid !

i dont know of you will apreciate some ideas :)

1. auto awarding most actifs member(s) in the last X time : hignest number of post or highest reputation points
2. setting up an expire time for awards (after one week for example the award will be auto removed)

what dou you think about that ?
:D

So, for all of those interested, how should the expire time for the awards be set?

I think that just making it a per-awarded award type thing is fine, but would it also be useful to create an "Expire 'X' amount of time after being awarded" setting for each award?

Yes I'm sure I've requested this several times. We would like to give out a donation award to anyone who has donated that month, but put an expiry date on it, so it gets removed after that date.

Right, however what I wanted to know is which method is most useful, or are they both. I am not asking whether or not I should add this feature, because I already am.

Sorry I miss understood. Either are fine by me. I guess it's that little bit easier to pick a date rather than counting the number of days. So yes to both :)

Bit unfair to say you posted a report and had no reply when you only posted it today. The author does quite a good job of supporting the application.

I'm having huge problems with over 40 extra queries per page due to this mod only. I had to disable it. I'm using IPB 3.2.3

i already posted at

http://www.invisione...s-modification/

but no replies.

Replied, I will for sure take a look into that issue for you.

-------------------

Here's what's up with 2.2.5:

- bulk awarding with groups 75% complete
- the never-disappearing-upgrade-button bug is fixed

... and yeah, that's it. I got hooked on Minecraft for a few days, and so essentially did absolutely nothing here. Hopping to still have a BETA within a week.
