Reitaksvk Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 i wrote this hook is broken, don't install it, and you have installed, read other posts and then do something
Lee Craven Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 The hook works fine on my forums, just wish I didn't see my own reputation on everyones profile that's the only issue I have. Alex, can you tell me how to fix this current issue? If you have any spare moments to work on it?
E.A.Outlaw Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 Has anybody else got this mod to work completely? If so, I would like to see it function right. I got it to work on a test board, except for the links to the post that was repped
Aizella Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 Finally got this mod to work on our sandbox. If you wish to display the name of the person who gave the rep, only one user group can be selected. If you try to enable this for all the user groups it will leave the comment, but not the name of the repper. This isn't too bad if you wish "Members" to be the primary user group as Admins can see who left rep via the ACP. I'll probably run it on the live board and see how it goes with the members. I am not sure what is meant by "seeing my own reputation on everyone's profile"? as the profile shows the reputation that was left for the member and by whom - but you can of course turn off the profile view if you want to - sorry if that's not what you meant :)
Gabriel Petrelli Posted December 7, 2009 Posted December 7, 2009 I wouldn't use this until the author can update it if ever, it completely breaks the skin under IE7 and IE8. Anyone using IE7 or IE8 won't be able to view topics on your forum, there are various reports of others who have the same exact problem. I had to uninstall the modification on my forum because of this reason and am awaiting an update that will probably never come.
Aizella Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 I wouldn't use this until the author can update it if ever, it completely breaks the skin under IE7 and IE8. Anyone using IE7 or IE8 won't be able to view topics on your forum, there are various reports of others who have the same exact problem. I had to uninstall the modification on my forum because of this reason and am awaiting an update that will probably never come. That's wierd - I've installed it on my main forum now and it works a dream with every browser so far. Only problem currently is the same one I reported above - namely that only one user group can be selected in order to display who left the User Comment.
Gabriel Petrelli Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 I'm actually not the first to report this issue, but it doesn't really seem to be widely reported. I first I thought maybe no one tested it with IE7, but it could be a conflict with another hook or modification I have installed.
Jai Haze Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 ok couple issues, is there anyway to adjust the word count? For instance, it is set up and when someone writes somethign up it gets cut off in the profile, view, i would love to see this fixed, any suggestions

karen65 Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 Alter the limit from 50 to whatever in ah30ReputationCoreFunctions.php - don't go too mad otherwise it'll break layouts I'm guessing.$message = IPSText::truncate( $message, 50 );

This works perfect. I've put it on 250 instead of 50 and typed around 300 characters and tried my best to break it, but it doesnt break any layout anywhere. So very well designed. Maybe future version for others you can make this an option in adminacp to change. Thanks again for a totally awesome modification that we all love!

Hi - I'm glad that it worked for you, but I can't take any credit for the modification as I'm not the author. I just worked out how to change the limit as I needed to do so myself. :)
Lee Craven Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 Is there nobody that will speak with Alex and fix this mod?
xecutey Posted February 22, 2010 Posted February 22, 2010 This mod is still working fine for me. I would however like to change it from showing previous 5 reputations in sidebar to previous 3 instead. (I am trying my best to shorten my sidebar length). OFF-TOPIC: But also trying to reduce the number of "Todays Top Posters" & the number of "Status Updates".
7SiN Posted March 16, 2010 Posted March 16, 2010 Edited whole post - I didn't read everyone's comments :P Does anyone know how to hard code the usergroups into this hook? Maybe if it's hard coded it can work for all usergroups.
7SiN Posted March 16, 2010 Posted March 16, 2010 I had a coder fix it for me so that all usergroups can see who has given them rep. Would it be wrong to post a link to it...?

Buschiq Posted May 17, 2010 Posted May 17, 2010 I installed it, seams like it doesn't support non-english characters. We really like this, but how can we get it to support Swedish letters (utf-8). Looks a bit funny when people comment right now.
John.W Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 will this work on 3.1 or is there an update planned?
Jefjef10 Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 Hello, I have a probleme, accents do not appear : ( normally " Bonne Présentation " ) Can you help me? Thank I use the 3.1.1 version
Philaphans Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 It wasn't working for us either with 3.1.1., it installs, it shows, but when you click on rep, add your message and hit enter/reply, you get an error message. Thoughts? Feelings? Opinions? Solution? Thanks.
Philaphans Posted July 31, 2010 Posted July 31, 2010 Is anyone going to speak to this, or is this a dead mod now? People LOVE the idea of giving and getting rep, it would be a shame to let it drop. Can we have some kind of update, either way? Is there something in the offing or is it going to "end of life"? Thanks.
