Any update on the horizon for latest version of IP.Blogs and IP.Downloads? :)

Considering the member that created this skin is still active here, I'm surprised I haven't received a response to my last post or any word of an upgrade. I'm afraid to say that your post might also go unnoticed/unanswered, an upgrade for this skin would be nice though as I would still like to use it on my 3.1.2 board. :)

Yes, but I believe you encoded the copyright with Base64 so I am unsure how to fix this. As I mentioned it seems it happens when the Infolinks ads load on the page, these are the only themes I am having this problem with, others themes don't have any problems with the ad code and the copyright. Any ideas or suggestions regarding how to fix this would be appreciated since I like these themes. :)

Same issue also occurs on your delicate blue theme..

It appears my Infolinks text link ad code may be messing up the copyright. Weird it only happens with this theme and not other themes, you may want to check this and fix it since there seems to be no way for me to fix this myself without instructions where the copyright code is located.

When viewing my forum as a guest with this skin, the copyright is appearing in the completely wrong place. Instead of appearing in the bottom right in the footer, the copyright is appearing in the middle-right of the page. I can't seem to locate the code for the copyright in the templates to fix this myself, any advice on how to solve? You should be able to see what I mean by viewing my forum as a guest and switching to the IBR3 theme.

This would be useful for checking custom permissions, but I don't think my members would be too happy if they found out I logged in under their account, which is why I am suggesting the following: When logged in under another members account, completely hide their name from the online list, even from other staff. This will make it appear they've been offline and there is no trace of their account being accessed. Also, if logged into another members account don't prohibit them from logging in whilst you are logged in under their account. They will become suspicious when they are unable to log into their account.

You can tell without looking at the admin page that it's not a 3.x board and a 2.x board. Should be reported to IPS though, probably not much that can be done since it seems that it's a Russian board..

That would be better left to a modification, it isn't something that would be considered essential to the IPB core package. I'm always up for improvements of existing features and the addition of some new features I consider to be necessary for the core package of IPB.

It would be nice to set a ban reason which is displayed to the user when they try to access the forum and are presented with the no permissions page, also the ban reason to be shown in the admin/mod logs along with who banned the user - ban logs.. Being able to temp ban a member and customize the length of time they are banned for. Temp ban a member for a day, a week, two weeks, a month, or several months or as long as an administrator or moderator decides. When temp banning a member, automatically switch their group to "banned", when their ban expires they are automatically moved back into their original group as mentioned by the member above. I obviously mean a much more advanced banning/warn system that what is currently in place, not just the usual warn, suspend, ban system we have which is quite limited.

The blog header doesn't look so good with this skin, can you add support for the blog in any future versions?

When moving a thread to a another section, have additional options to set a temporary redirect which will expire after "X" amount of days that you choose, or allow the thread to be copied to the new forum.

It's been said over a dozen time by not only me but others as well, the unapprove function and trash can is simply not sufficient enough. IPB needs more robust moderation features and administrative control, neither the trash can and unapprove function gives us this necessary control over our community's content. If IPB really wants to compete with Vbulletin, then it needs to consider Vbulletin-esque features. Even if the price of IPB is significantly lower than Vbulletin not many are going to go through the hassle of converting because of the following reason(s): The Vbulletin core package already contains more features than IPB does, many Vbulletin users feel as if they are getting their moneys worth even if it means an increase in price. Why would they be compelled convert to a software that essentially offers less? With Vbulletin's more robust modification community of several free quality modifications make Vbulletin a more ideal choice for administrators ten-fold than IPB does. Most who already have the money are not the slightest concerned with the increased fees of Vbulletin, IPS needs be able to grab this specific market of potential VB-converts by offering more features in their core package than Vbulletin currently does or at least features on par with those in the Vbulletin core package. Note that I am referring to the core package and not addons such as the gallery, blog, download system, and IP.Content. Also the warning system in IPB is very minimalistic and not as robust as the infraction/warning system in Vbulletin, the Vbulletin system allows for customization and more options than the IPB system does. Also the Rich Text Editor in IPB is very wonky, I find myself often banging my head because of issues with the RTE in IPB that are so much of an annoyance I've disabled the RTE editor for myself. I have none of these problems with the Vbulletin RTE, any problems I have with the Vbulletin RTE are minor and not as excessive as with the IPB RTE. Please don't take offense to this, I am only offering suggestions for how IPS/IPB can improve their software. I would appreciate it if what I mentioned is considered, I have so much faith in IPB that I've already secured the future of my community as an IPB community with the purchases of the gallery, blog, download system addons, and IP.Content. :)

Some other suggestions, don't know if a couple of these were mentioned yet: 1. Better reputation system - Allow comments when giving a member a reputation, allow a member to choose how many points they can vote a post up or down with a max limit configurable from the ACP. 2. I don't know if this is already included in some forum, but a Moderation Control Panel for moderators would be nice, saves from giving access to the ACP but allows for basic actions that a moderator can perform. 3. As mentioned in another thread a feature similar to VB which allows for the soft deletion of posts and threads, allowing them to be restored (Undeleted) at a later time. No more do we fear of allowing delete privileges since content can be restored if it is deleted. Also keeping a post edit history, allowing earlier versions of posts to be reviewed and restored if needed, the unapprove function is simply not sufficient enough.

Well Ajax saves my connection some bandwidth since it doesn't need to reload the entire page when submitting a quick reply. This should be standard with the default package of IPB since it's faster and cleaner in my opinion. EN30's ajax fast reply does the job nicely, but I don't want to pay extra for something that has been included in other forum software for a while now. I decided to cough up the money for EN30's ajax fast reply since there was no free alternative and I needed this functionality, it would be appreciated if this could be considered for future versions of IPB such as 3.1.0. :)

Ajax quick reply would be nice, this has been a requested feature since the IPB 2.x days but is ignored or disregarded every time it is mention. I shouldn't have to pay for a modification to give me functionality that should technically be included in the default package for IPB. Other forum software has this feature including the free Mybb forum package, so why not IPB as well?

He should really consider bringing additional support staff aboard, I realize that he may work full time but the support is unacceptable for a rather expensive piece of software. For some reason he seems to think that he is obligated to pay for additional support staff, at least that's what I understood. There are still some minor bugs, the 2.0.2 version is relatively stable. It offers some extra features over the furl system included in IPB3.

I am pleased so far, I just got to strengthen my html, php, css, and flash skills to get the most out of IP.Content. Right now my experience level in these website coding languages is next to none. :P I am liking IP.Downloads so far, it's got some nice features and options. I was using Pete Treanors download modification for IPB 2.3.x before I upgraded to IPB3, there isn't an IPB 3.x version available yet. I decided to shell out for IP.Downloads in the end for the reason modifications aren't officially supported, a modification developer can bail at any given moment, and I can be sure I am able to officially receive support with IP.Downloads as long as IPS remains in business. Also lol at the above comment.

In my everlasting quest to support IPS, I have now added IP.Downloads and IP.Content to my collection thus making it complete. :P One thing I found a minor annoyance is that IPS doesn't seem to let you use your Paypal for new purchases, only to renew a package. It would be nice to use my Paypal towards new purchases as well, I looked and couldn't find where it would let me. :(

This is a feature of VB, and it doesn't seem to have any problems with it. I know I could unapprove posts or use the trash can, but that isn't what I want or was referring to or else I wouldn't of mentioned this.. When a member deletes/edits a thread/post I want a copy of the original post content stored, in other words when a member or staff deletes a post it's a soft delete. The edit history/revisions and soft delete of posts and threads allowed deleted or edited post content to be reviewed. Then the administrator or other staff can decide to restore the original post content or hard delete it permanently.

One of the things I like about VB, is that if a member or staff deletes or edits a thread/post, a copy or history of the thread/post is archived. This "soft" delete allows the history of the thread or post to be reviewed by staff for anything incriminating. It can then be decided to restore the original thread/post or hard delete the thread/post. Each time a member deletes or edits a thread/post, it keeps a history of each before the edit to review or restore the original content. Deleted posts are never truly deleted, only soft deleted so they can be restored later if needed. Staff can choose whether to hard delete a thread/post. I hope I have explained this clear enough, the moderation/administration aspect is where IPB is lacking compared to Vbulletin, I would just like to have more control over the content and moderation of the forum. Members have a habit of editing their posts and deleting content, if they go on a fit of rage, say something rude, or post something against the rules. I would like to review these edited and deleted threads/posts with the option of restoring the original content or hard deleting the thread/post.

Profile photo doesn't scale like other themes to fit within the user block in the top right corner, how can I fix this? Nevermind, fixed it myself.. (Thanks to Firebug and a little CSS editing)

In IPB3 the PM popup is very messy whenever you receive a new message, it looks like a jumbled mess of letters and words, here is a few suggestions to tidy it up a bit: 1. Implement a character limit for PM popups, freely adjustable from the ACP. 2. Parse emoticons, BBcode, new lines, and line breaks in PM popups or at least add an option to enable/disable these formatting options. Another thing is I spent over a month trying to figure out how to change the amount of images to be displayed on the board index for the hook Gallery images on index. I finally figured out that I needed to manually download and edit the hook file. Perhaps adding an option in the ACP for the Gallery to adjust this option for the hook is something to consider. :)

I agree, this is something other board software has that IPB lacks. In addition to what you mentioned, also show what date the ban will be lifted or if it's a permanent ban. An option to set both temporary bans or permanent bans in the ACP is needed if one doesn't alreeady exist. :)
