Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt November 11, 2024
Nervosa Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 Is there any new things in the works from IPS, I don't mean IPB.3 or other updated versions of current products ? Mainly I ask because I (and I'm sure others) would love a wiki system made by IPS. I know there is currently is a bridge that links IPB and media wiki, but my issue is I'm not really fond of how media wikis uses temples for page layouts. So... any plans on a wiki or other products?
Martin A. Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 You will probably not get a response on this, since IPS like to keep those kind of things a secret, in case they are dropping the idea before it reaces the public.
Cairns Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 I'm not really fond of how media wikis uses temples for page layouts. How do they fit them on the page?
bfarber Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 We have some ideas and plans, but nothing we are ready to disclose at this time. :) Any idea we have will probably be a little ways off, as we're very much focused on IPB3 at this point in time.
Jaggi Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 they probably got ip.nexus on the agenda, also stuff like a wiki system are move likely to be made by the ips community developers than ips.
LeetScape Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 Maybe their own independent blogging system, similar to WordPress maybe IP.Press?
AndyF Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 I have a couple of suggestions / ideas but I'm going to wait and not post them for a while... :)
Lindsey_ Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 they probably got ip.nexus on the agenda *crosses fingers*
sychn Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 The way that IPS works is just like the big ben. I start to believe that the 21 centuary not belongs to the western countries... really...
Brian Garcia Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 Maybe their own independent blogging system, similar to WordPress maybe IP.Press? No doubt IPS would be crushed in competition. Wordpress is Free, it is widely used, huge amount of users, huge amount of plugins & themes, and easily customized.
`Scotty` Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 Maybe their own independent blogging system, similar to WordPress maybe IP.Press? I.P.P., doesn't sound good to me :P With IP.Nexus I'm sure they could easily make a lot more modules for it :) maybe one for easy blogging, but that is probably in the CMS module some where!
