Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications Matt November 11, 2024Nov 11
Posted December 15, 200816 yr Hi I think if a person wants to add just images without text, it should be allowed. But right now the forum script wants you to add some text. If a person wants to start a thread on his or her forum without text, it should be possible.
December 15, 200816 yr Where is the option to enable or disable, so that I can post images like this?
December 15, 200816 yr Don't think there are any settings for it  But,Do you need technical support? You can obtain support via the client area, or you can try to obtain peer-to-peer support at IPS Resources.
December 15, 200816 yr All you have to do is insert the bbcode for the attachment into the post area. You cannot submit an empty post, however.

December 15, 200816 yr When you upload an image attachment you have the option to insert that into the post and that will insert the BBCode
December 25, 200816 yr I had the exact problem. I was able to post attachments but each time I used the 'Insert Image' button in the editor, I ended up with [img]http://path to jpg[/img]. Permissions were set correctly and folders were chmodded to 777. The image would appear in the editor but not in Preview on live. I found the answer was in the Security section of System Settings. I had previously set that the no images would be allowed. I changed that setting and voila, everything worked as advertised.
