Keith J. Kacin Posted June 13, 2007 Posted June 13, 2007 I went to go manually edit the template for my skin, but strangely I had a lot of the edits already done on my skin...?Which skin? The Pro?The Pro skin does have edited templates (compared to the master skin), so they show edited.
Jonessie Posted June 13, 2007 Posted June 13, 2007 Downloading now but will have to wait to install because I'm running a Virus Scan at the moment which takes ages. :mellow:I need to get rid of the picture of smithers...? :P ;)I think the choice of colours have been wise because it’s neither intrusive nor dull looking.

William Burdine Posted June 13, 2007 Posted June 13, 2007 Well I would like a play by play of anyone going from 2.1.7 -> 2.3I had to delay my upgrade while I waited for a unique component for vehicle registry to be finished and now that it has gone to GPL and I am part of the team helping to build it, I am a lot happier, I know without a doubt it works on the v2.2.2 as we just got done testing it.See more of it here at http://www.fusionscripts.com/products/fusion_registry/Today I am testing it under 2.3.....however I am very curious to know how the 2.1.7 -> 2.3 IPB upgrade works
.Jack Posted June 13, 2007 Posted June 13, 2007 Do you (IPS) really think it's a good idea to make custom BBCode pre-parsed? OK, it reduces parsing time when loading topics, but firstly, this means you need to rebuild all posts (and signatures, PM's, etc.) after an upgrade to make any custom BBCode in older content (i.e. before the upgrade) actually work. And secondly, surely this means that if you every modify the HTML for an existing BBCode, you will need to rebuild all posts?
.Ryan Posted June 13, 2007 Posted June 13, 2007 Is their an upgrade package or do we just download and overwrite from the Full Install? I don't have anything appearing under upgrade packages?
.Jack Posted June 13, 2007 Posted June 13, 2007 Is their an upgrade package or do we just download and overwrite from the Full Install? I don't have anything appearing under upgrade packages?Just upload the new files and then run the upgrader (./upgrade/)
bfarber Posted June 13, 2007 Posted June 13, 2007 Is there no 2.2.2 > 2.3.0 upgrade pack? :( Did you see the list of changed files?http://forums.invisionpower.com/index.php?...t&p=1490121The upgrade pack is effectively the entire install.
marklcfc Posted June 13, 2007 Posted June 13, 2007 :blink:There is usually one available, quicker than uploading the whole package.
David_T Posted June 13, 2007 Posted June 13, 2007 There is usually one available, quicker than uploading the whole package.Read the posts RIGHT above yours.
