Portal Search Box

I noticed in IPB 2.2.2 in the Portal settings there was an option to enable the "Search Box", which didn't work. As it was an old obsolete option left over. But I have also noticed this same obsolete setting is still there in the latest version on the forum software. Should this not have been removed? I've also noticed the change skin drop down box on the portal page seems to have no effect when disabled in the portal settings, it is still displayed regardless.

Ok, I bought the forum journeyman.invisionzone.com, but I havent yet payed. Because I've accidently over withdrawn, I need to add funds to my paypal account before I can pay for journeyman.invisionzone.com. The clearing time is expected to finish on Sept 25th, meaning sept 25th will be the earliest I can pay for the forum I bought from you. I was wondering if im going to get charged extra for not paying until then, or if im going to get any problems. P.S The forum isn't yet running, so I havent used it yet.

Okay so there's the root admin group and the secondary admin group, my question is, can i limit the blocks the secondary admin can access in the admin CP? for example: if i only wanted the permission mask area accessable via Root admin and not secondary admin, can this be done?

I understand that the new payment renewal thing is a bit new, so I'll give some leeway there. I want to bring to someone's attention that I was nor forewarned about a renewal coming out of my account. No invoice, no option to choose NOT to renew. Plus, I have two boards; when the moneys came out of my account, I couldn't tell which was which. It took me awhile to realize there were two dings to my account. Thanks for listening!

Edit Template HTML -> switch skin

Oftentimes when making changes to your site (say, for installing a mod) and you have multiple skins, you have to make changes to the skin templates on all skins. To do this right now you go to the skin manager, select your skin, select the Edit Template HTML section, and make your change. Then you have to go all the way back out to the main Skin Manager page to do that same thing to your second skin. Since there is already a dropdown on the Edit Template HTML page for the other stuff you can do to the skin such as the board wrappers, macros, and stylesheet, how about adding another dropdown that will let you do the same action you're currently doing (such as editing th…

hi I already have IPB forum system and it is running all good.But last cuple days ago I had one problem about admin panel. That problem was. Some one whoever it was, stole my cokies and because I saved my password on to internet explorer.as you know when you save your password, it goes to cokies. so someone whoever it was I dont know and somehow they stole my cokies and they used that as login to admin control panel and change some options and messed up the forum.but I am working at an network company and no offense please. Ok, there is a "Most users ever online was" stat, but it is for the most on at one specific moment. How about adding another stat that would show "Most users online in a 24 hour period" I keep getting asked by use why the "Most users ever online was" stst is so much lower then the average number of users we have online each day.

Okay my "ex" co owner of NWH now is part of my staff bought NWH IPB. I was wondering since he gave me the login information, and NWH has been using it for about a month or so now am I allowed to change the information on it or no? I was thinking that it be a great idea to make the filters page paginated so when your removing or looking through your filters you dont have to scroll and scroll to get to where you want to be if lets say you have 100 or more filters, also another nice addition would be to have the ability to mass delete the filters or being able to "Select All" and then delete. Hope that made sense lol

Hello ! I have a problem with annoucements : I have about 55 annoucements in My Controls/Manage Announcements. I don't delete them, because, I need to activate them from time to time. The problem now is that there are many announcements and I can't find easily which ones are active among all the announcements. Is it possible : - to have the active ones in a different colour, so that it's easier to find them ? - to classify announcements in categories ? What do you think of this ? Thank you !

I help run a forum for the classic minis, and we tend to get involved in organising lots of events. It would be really useful if, when in topic view, the first post (the one that generally holds all the information about the event, times, dates, location, etc) could be pinned at the top of each page for that topic.

To Do list for all products on next versions

Does anywhere exists a "ToDo" list where we can see what will be included in the next versions? Alot of bugs are getting reported, also suggestions are made. Some of these are important and will be needed. In the bug tracker, you can see if changes will come out with the next version when is says "fixed" but, for suggestions not. Sonetimes, you can see a comment like " good point or idea" but, you don't know if it gets implemented or not. I am waiting since a while for an pretty old "good idea" and don't want to annoy the IPB Team by asking from time to time when it will come out. More verbose logging of locked accounts

When viewing locked accounts, rather than only seeing first and last failure dates, number of total failues, and a list of IPs failing to login, it'd be really nice if we could see the failures in a highly detailed list format instead. Note: this is not a support request , just a question! Although i expect everyone still using 2.1.x is on 2.1.7 by now :) Anyway, does IPS have any plans to discontinue support for this version ? or perhaps i should say , does IPS have a set support / timeframe remaining for this version ? (I ask as simply because i purchased a 2nd board today and it offered me 2.1.7 as well) :)
