  1. I have a potential fix for the various index problems. It's even more complicated now than it was before, so I need more time to vet it. I burnt the whole evening on that, so I haven't gotten to looking at anything else yet. Probably won't be available tomorrow night. Maybe Saturday. I'm not going to support the search index (for tag updates) as it was in 4.1.0-4.1.8 following the current release. It's just too much of a mess to cover it both ways. You can run a search reindex to clear it up anyway. Um, I'm not sure what's going on for you, but all of that stuff should work perfectly except maybe the categories part (which I've gotten a few reports about).
  2. Mostly. Any features that touch the search index (tag recaching, mass add/delete/edit) are broken, but I'll have them fixed soon.
  3. Not trying to be terse or evasive, sorry if I've come off that way. Been working all-out on a work project, but that's done as of yesterday. (yay) So I'll look into the various issues reported. The search index/recache bug is my first priority. I'll look at the display-as-categories feature malfunctioning after that. Should have word later this week. I don't know whether I'll be able to continue supporting versions 4.0.0-4.1.8 with the index changes -- I'll do what I can though.
  4. IPS 4.1.9 broke things. I'll have it fixed soon.
  5. Nope. I think IPS 4.1.9 removed a 'index_tags' column from the database, breaking backwards compatibility. I need to verify that, find and account for whatever the new implementation is, and then release an update. I don't know how quickly I will be able to make that happen.
  6. I have not looked at the latest release yet. I'll do that when I can get to it (this weekend, probably). The error message... I can assure you, the application is valid and the archive is not corrupt. Did you check the file/directory permissions like it says to? e: All I see in the release notes is "Multiple fixes for tag searching". I'll verify, but I doubt the changes are anything that affect this app. If I'm mistaken, please explain how.
  7. I haven't had a chance to investigate your situation yet. Please be patient. Thanks.
  8. I was fine until you went and brought it up. Nah, it's fine. IPS is of course free to do as they'd like. As long as they do it well. I'd be happy deprecating my app entirely if it's no longer necessary.
  9. Thanks, I'll look into that. My fix will probably be similar.
  10. That would explain it. Must be a problem of scale with larger databases. I'm surprised you would encounter that even with the batch size set to 5, but it definitely is an intensive process.
  11. I have not been ignoring you. I just have not had opportunity to investigate yet. I have not heard of anyone else having the problem you describe. If you want me to look into it, I need more info on the error than 'it doesn't work'. An error log, a stack trace, something. If you still want a refund, you'll need to contact IPS (marketplace@invisionpower.com I think). I can't speak to their policies.
  12. That tool does not cover other applications, sorry. I don't know of any way I could build such a search/apply tool in a generic fashion. It's heavily dependent on the database schema, which differs for every application and content type.

    Easy Pages

Blank page sounds like a PHP error. Check your server logs or IPB logs (uploads/logs) for what might be going wrong. What you describe is a substantial piece of custom development, so I can't provide any specific guidance. All I can tell you is you'll want to have PHP parsing enabled, and caching disabled, for the page(s) in question. Pulling in the profile and adding your fields is another matter entirely.

    Easy Pages

I'll look into it. Probably nothing you can do from your end.
  15. 1. Yes, it's still a setting. 2. Yes, it filters by the forum it's under, like before.
  16. You're correct about how it works. I'd like to make such a change in the app, it's just ... complicated. The way IPS maps between tags and the content they apply to has no logical connection to that content type's search identifiers, which makes a generic solution all but impossible (as far as I'm aware). If we were only concerned about topics, I could say 'limit the tag search to the current forum' easily enough--but I don't know a way to do that and also have it work for content, and downloads, and every other tag-supporting app out there.
  17. Probably the spaces, yes. I'll look into it. May not be quick. Could you clarify what you mean by showing on the forum index? That could mean a lot of things.
  18. That's not what the others were talking about. The app requires all prefixes to be defined explicitly in the admin panel. Did you set them up (content > Advanced Tags & Prefixes > Prefixes) and add them as 'allowed prefixes' on your forum(s)?
  19. It shouldn't be necessary, but check the tag/prefix settings on your forums and resave.
  20. One purchase per IPS license. I can't control pricing for discounts, sorry.
  21. It just occurred to me, some of the tag admin tools probably won't work entirely on versions earlier than IPS 4.1 on account of the search index changes. No such thing prior to then. So...if you're still running a version earlier than that, upgrade, or yell loudly.
  22. Big fix release is out. Get it while it's hot. The only outstanding issue I know of is paging on the tag management tool. It's a core bug, regression since 4.1.6. I've raised it with IPS. Nothing more I can do. What's New in Version 3.1.4 Added search index support when editing/removing/recaching tags. Fixed schema 'error' on support tool (missing MySQL int default on an unsigned column). Fixed text wrapping in the tag cloud. Fixed sorting in the tag cloud; will now pull the top N results, then sort. Fixed a possible EX2 error on forum edit. Fixed forum descriptions showing stale prefixes with 'show prefixes as subcategories' enabled. Fixed default tags/prefix settings not saving. Fixed various errors with added tags and search forums on the mass-add tool.
