    Help

If I understand the OP correctly, @Smaugtd means to ask if it is possible for spoiler content to be hidden from guests. I think this is fairly common functionality for spoilers - I seek similar. But by the looks of it, there is no option for this. Does anyone have any ideas/workarounds? Thanks.
  3. Unlikely an issue issue given my very limited use of blocks (they are mostly just tests). But I'll keep this in mind. Thanks.
  4. @Marc Stridgen I am trying disabling various addons and features to see if I can pin down the problem. Thinking about it, although as I recall the timing does not match, I have recently enabled some blocks - perhaps there is conflict with one of those and an addon. Since the error is triggered inconsistently, this might take a while.
  5. Hi Marc, I am not certain when I updated the core, but I note that 4.7.15 was released on January 23rd, which fits with my recolection of last updating the core 2-3 weeks ago. The CSRF error only started a few days ago.
  6. Hi @Marc Stridgen It had been some time since I updated the core - there was no corresponding login problem. Unless I am very much mistaken, I updated to the core 2-3 weeks ago - the CSRF problem first occurred a few days ago.
  7. I had this problem a few months ago. That time, it was due to an addon. It happened again a few days ago, but I had not updated the core of any addons (and still have not). Further, it was occurring only with Edge. The solution was to delete Edge cookies for my site. I logged in again a few minutes ago - no problem. Did a couple of things but received the error message when I visited the home page. I can continue to navigate other pages, post comments, etc. I can also access the ACP. I can login and access all pages using Firefox. I've cleared my cookies again - and again, everything now functions normally. Except, I have a consistent problem with logging in - and members have complained about this too - login fails and I must login via the domain.com/login page. I should also add, when I first logged in today, I did not receive the usual login error to the /login page.
  8. Hi @Marc Stridgen Other sections are missing too. I had assumed that this is because the content had never been developed and the menu items are just placeholders. Anyway: https://invisioncommunity.com/4guides/welcome/about-invision-community-r7/ Sidebar & Widgets from the side-menu:
  9. Hmm. The section, 'Sidebar and Widgets', in the Guide is missing. There is another section which provides some basic information about included widgets, but nothing about creating them. Thank you for the additional suggestions. I'll take a look at that.
  10. @opentype HTML? As I explained, I wish for others to be able to create pages and edit them without having to work with HTML. Or, as I suspect, you mean something else. I'll look at widgets in the Guide, but it might be beyond my abilities. If there is a away to avoid team members having to work with HTML, I'll certainly give it a go. Thanks.
  11. Hi @opentype Thanks for the response. I do not mean the page header (and footer) or sidebar. I mean if I create a page (or create block for page), the content should be placed within blocks like content on the rest of the site. I can add some CSS to target the blocks, but it means having to create the page (or block) content using HTML if I would like to add a block header. When really, I'd like any admin to be able to create a page with a header (with title) to the content they create. For example, these forum category and block headers ('Invision Community' and 'Community Hive'): Yes, admins could use the text editor, but this means no header for the created content. I would like to have some consistency in how all website content is presented to viewers without the need to create pages using HTML. Further, I should be able to change the appearance of these pages when I change theme settings, just like with all suite blocks. I suppose I could target the first paragraph (title) using CSS. (Better, create a text editor button to allow for the adding of heading tags and use those create block header; I suppose this is possible - yes?) But this means that Admins will need HTML enabled. I wished to avoid this if possible. Hopefully I am missing something or there is some useful app available.
  12. Hi. Is there a simple method to add Blocks/Pages using standard theme blocks, with header, title, border and background colours so that they match other elements on my sight? Of course, I can do this using HTML/CSS, but this seems like overkill and a lot of unnecessary work (and is not a practical solution for other admins who nothing about HTML and CSS). It seems like I am missing something.
  13. Thanks, Mark. The addon from CKEditor appears to be incompatible. But I did manage to add the function and a button a few days ago by following the instructions here:
  14. Oh dear. I downloaded the anchor and added it. I've lost all editor functions. Is there a way to wind this back. It appears that, I think, that I should have built a whole new editor. Ah. Just found the restore function. I've lost my own customizations to the menus, but that's a minor problem. Is it possible to add an individual menu item (anchors)? Or do i have to build the entire this over at CKEditor?
  15. Thanks, @Jim M. I did not realise that I could do this. I'll take a look.
  16. Is it possible to add internal anchors within a webpage using the text editor? I'd like to have an index at the top of a very long page (it would be occasionally useful for posts too, hence why I need it to work with the editor). Thanks.
  17. Thanks, @Nathan Explosion. I saw that way back when; I expect that @David N. has seen it too. We both (and he in particular) require more detailed information: a list of actual functions (example installations would be even better). @David N. I could find no detailed notes. One of our team (who is very experienced in using and managing LMSs) tested out the nobbled version; her impression at the time: She got no further with it the next day.
  18. Disappointing. But thank you for the reply. I don't properly recall now - it was six months ago when we tested it. I only recall that we could nothing interesting or of much use to us. It was very limited in functionality. I neglected to test it out previously with a test installation, so I cannot compere the two. If you are interested in this, be sure to request the use of a test installation. Though, this will not inform you of the limitations of Courses in Creator Pro. I'll have a look back at our internal discussions at the time, but they were very limited because there was little functionality. I will report back if I find anything informative.
  19. Hi @Ehren That's a shame. But thank you for replying and explaining.
  20. No. 'Bios' is something you introduced in your post: https://invisioncommunity.com/forums/topic/475690-introducing-a-fresh-new-vision-for-invision-community-5/page/3/#comment-2957374 What I wish to know is if it is possible to add specific profile fields (tabs) to the mini-profile bar in all posts. So, if I created a profile field called 'Bio', would I be able to have this show in the mini-profile bar (in posts) of all members (preferably, only those who have made use of 'Bio')? And, if it is possible, is it purely a link, or a popup (which would be much more useful)? This or something like would be useful I think. Trying to do something similar to you had already crossed my mind. But now that you describe the difficulties, I am glad I did not attempt it. But yeah, I am on board with the idea of a sticky menu bar.
  21. Are there any plans to change access to Courses with Cloud plans in V5? Presently, with the Creator Pro plan, it includes only a nobbled version of Courses and is useless to us. Frankly, I am unsure of what use the nobbled version would be to anyone - it offers very little.
  22. Does anyone have an answer to this?* Thanks. * Edit: preferably, the correct one! 😀
  23. Will 'Bios' (or other profile fields) be pop-ups from the profile strip, or are they purely links? (Because pop-ups would be much better.)
  24. I suppose, @Jim M, what I am driving at is the common factor in all these cases is Invision. Is there something in the way the user table is locked (or not locked) which is causing this? But what do I know - I'm not a developer. I expect that it way more complicated than I might imagine. Thank you for continuing to investigate this.
  25. Hi @Jim M To be frank, I've not tried. What with the holidays, travelling to see family, and other stuff. I'll see if I can replicate this over the weekend. But it occurs to me that since it appears there are several triggers for this, is not a generic fix possible and appropriate? I am not aware of this ever occurring with SMF in my 18 years using that, or any other forum software. I do not mean to suggest that a generic fix would be easy, but given that there appear to be several possible triggers (and, presumably, more in the future), a generic fix seems in order.
