  1. The WordPressSSO-Plugin is disabled. I can see the forgot my password-link on the front end of the site.

When I enter the email adress which I use for my admin account in the acp I never receive a password-reset mail.

(It works fine when I want to reset the passwords for the users I have created additionally.)

The account-email I use for administration is not in the members database because when installing the forum I chose a completely different email address for this, @Marc Stridgen.

  2. I just read the instructions for the recovery mode but that would only work with the admin password, wouldn't it?

    But that's my problem:

I do not have access to the admin control panel any more. I do not find a way to reset my password there. I have deactived the plugin by renaming the wordpressso-plugin-folder per ftp. However, this does not help me to get access to the ipboard admin control.

So how can I either reset my admin-password or where would I find it in the database to change it there? Or any other way to get access to the acp again. Thank you.

The new alert system could help with that:

Thank you, @opentypeThis is good news but not exactly what I am looking for. I should have been more specific. I want to draw the attention of all users to a certain post or comment. Since I use ipboard for my paying members there sometimes is information I want all of them to know.

Oh nice, @Adriano Faria - I didn't know it is possible to mention groups! I will try this - it might be exactly what I am looking for. Thank you!

  4. @Dean_, the site is zirkel.marketing-zauber.de - and I closed the whole site from guests right from the beginning. The user profiles are partially from a later date (members who came recently) and I don't know how to exclude them. The content of the profile is not visible, but the name and photo as well as the title picture and their birthday as can be seen here:

the left side shows the view via Google when not logged in - the right side the logged in view.

The forum is completely paid only so that I do not need anything to be indexed by google.

  5. Hi,

I have a paid membership and do not want Google or any other search index to index any content of my forum.

I thought I had done so but members now show me screenshots of Google results they found when searching for their names. This is not wanted by them nor me either.

I have copy pasted the robots.txt file from this page

to the System -> Site Promotion -> Search Engine Optimization -> Crawl Management section

I am unsure whether I have to edit this file somehow and whether I will also have to upload it via ftp to my server since my forum resides in a directory.

    Thank you!

  6. I am new to Ipboard and have managed to install it and do the first steps. However, I do not know how to configure the cron job for my forum.

This are the options my provider offers (sorry, it's German, hopefully you don't need it).

    Thank you very much!

The "Similar Content" just led me to the solution (I had used the search but over 2000 results were a bit too much to scan ...).

This is what I found: "Ideally, 1 minute is the recommended time to run it."
