  1. The WordPressSSO-Plugin is disabled. I can see the forgot my password-link on the front end of the site. When I enter the email adress which I use for my admin account in the acp I never receive a password-reset mail. (It works fine when I want to reset the passwords for the users I have created additionally.) The account-email I use for administration is not in the members database because when installing the forum I chose a completely different email address for this, @Marc Stridgen.
  2. I just read the instructions for the recovery mode but that would only work with the admin password, wouldn't it? But that's my problem: I do not have access to the admin control panel any more. I do not find a way to reset my password there. I have deactived the plugin by renaming the wordpressso-plugin-folder per ftp. However, this does not help me to get access to the ipboard admin control. So how can I either reset my admin-password or where would I find it in the database to change it there? Or any other way to get access to the acp again. Thank you.
  3. @Marc Stridgen - how can I disable the plugin when I have no access to my admin control panel?
  4. Uh, sorry, I forgot to mention that I use the WordPress SSO plugin for my users to login. Thus, there's no login screen for my users (and me). And as far as I remember I use different passwords for my WordPress login and the ACP of the forum ...
  5. @Jim M, this is what I was looking for ... but it's not there:
  6. Hi, I don't know how, but I somehow must have managed to overwrite my password in my password tool - and now cannot login to the Forum Control Panel (Admin) any more. How can I reset my password?
  7. Hi, I just saw the notice regarding the new 4.7.2.1 update of ipboard and wonder whether Group Mention will be compatible with PHP 8.
  8. @Adriano Faria, thank you so much - I just purchased the plugin and it is working wonderfully.
  9. @Adriano Faria, unfortunately this does not seem to work in my installation. I have checked the group and the notifications settings but cannot find where to activate the tagging of user groups. Do you or anybody else have an idea where I can do so?
  10. Thank you, @opentype. This is good news but not exactly what I am looking for. I should have been more specific. I want to draw the attention of all users to a certain post or comment. Since I use ipboard for my paying members there sometimes is information I want all of them to know. Oh nice, @Adriano Faria - I didn't know it is possible to mention groups! I will try this - it might be exactly what I am looking for. Thank you!
  11. For some posts, as admin I would like to mention or better notify all users about a post. Is this possible?
  12. Okay, I did as you explained, @Randy Calvert, @opentype and @Dean_ - thank you all so much for your support!
  13. Thank you very much, @Randy Calvert! I still don't understand where I have to "install" the robots.txt - in the forum admin at System -> Site Promotion -> Search Engine Optimization -> Crawl Management section or as a robots.txt file on my server or both?
  14. @Dean_, the site is zirkel.marketing-zauber.de - and I closed the whole site from guests right from the beginning. The user profiles are partially from a later date (members who came recently) and I don't know how to exclude them. The content of the profile is not visible, but the name and photo as well as the title picture and their birthday as can be seen here: the left side shows the view via Google when not logged in - the right side the logged in view. The forum is completely paid only so that I do not need anything to be indexed by google.
  15. Hi, I have a paid membership and do not want Google or any other search index to index any content of my forum. I thought I had done so but members now show me screenshots of Google results they found when searching for their names. This is not wanted by them nor me either. I have copy pasted the robots.txt file from this page to the System -> Site Promotion -> Search Engine Optimization -> Crawl Management section I am unsure whether I have to edit this file somehow and whether I will also have to upload it via ftp to my server since my forum resides in a directory. Thank you! Birgit
  16. So easy! It worked like a charm! Thank you ever so much, @Marc Stridgen!
  17. Okay, I found the robots.txt settings - and uploaded a robots-file. However, it does not work the way I want it (nothing should be visible except for the front page of the forum with all the sub-forums). Any help would be highly appreciated.
  18. Hi, my forum is just for paying members and I want to hide all its contents from non-members (who might get the link from a member) as well as from all search engines. How can I do so? Will I need a plugin or is it possible to do so from the settings?
  19. I am new to Ipboard and have managed to install it and do the first steps. However, I do not know how to configure the cron job for my forum. This are the options my provider offers (sorry, it's German, hopefully you don't need it). Thank you very much! The "Similar Content" just led me to the solution (I had used the search but over 2000 results were a bit too much to scan ...). This is what I found: "Ideally, 1 minute is the recommended time to run it."
