Thanks @Adriano Faria, this looks great but we're thinking something that doesn't require a member shop and is mostly about sending gifts. Our idea was that each member has 1 gift box they can send to another member per day, once opened a virtual gift appears and is displayed on their profile. It's super specific, I know but hoping to find/commission something that is super simple.
-
We'd love for our members to be able to send virtual gifts to each other and for each member to have a gift showcase on their profile, similar to the badge showcase. I've seen this done on other platforms and I think it's a balance between being fun and being cheesy. Would love to know if this already exists/if anyone is interested in this kind of project?
Thanks!

Fantastic update to an already incredible plugin. Our community loves this feature!

Is this possible? We offer a safe space for young people aged 13-25 and no matter how clear we make it, we're still getting regular adults join to talk about their divorce. Is there a quick and easy way to prohibit people outside of a set age range from registering?

Oh awesome, thanks!

That's how I did it once :
Use SVG for all the elements ( separate SVG graphic for each pair of eyes, hair, mouths, nose, etc..)
Then use a a simple UI to change the used graphics via JS ( It's easier than you would think..) and at the end just store the data to a database (to make it easier editable) and generate a PNG from the SVG which is used as avatar.Something like:
That's just a hint for other devs if they want to try it, I can't unfortunately share this work.
Not as fancy as bitmoji, but still a functional simple avatar editorThat's so, so cool! Reassuring to hear that it isn't overly complex, hopefully should be able to have something developed within budget. Thanks for sharing!

Just updated and this plugin was disabled because it's based on PHP 7. Will it be updated to 8?

Hey, we still use this but have had to disable because it's based on PHP 7.0, will you be updating to 8.0?

In theory it is possible, but I'm not seeing any kind of API on the site. Only applications/extensions you can install on the phone or browser. 🤔
Oh, for Bitmoji? We wouldn't be looking to integrate their API, rather create our own IP, that's just an example of the kind of customisation we'd like to create

Hi!
For context: we operate an online support community for young people. Our community guidelines are very firm on not sharing personal information/photos etc. For our members, self-expression is understandably a big deal and so we've been thinking of ways to improve our user experience. One of those ideas is to replace the stock avatar system with an owned IP feature that would allow our members to create their own character. Similar to something like Bitmoji. Once created, the character will then show on all of their posts/profile and activity and can be customised at any time with things like different hairstyles/clothing/emotion etc.
We understand that we'd need to find a developer to create this kind of functionality but before we do this, I wanted to check in to see if it was theoretically possible?
Thanks!

You can do it using a 3rd-party resource:
Thanks Adriano!

In summary, we operate an online support community for young people. We do not allow our members to private message each other for safeguarding reasons. We only allow private conversations between our staff/therapists and the members. We currently have it configured so that our member usergroups cannot instigate messages, which also means that they cannot instigate a private message with a member of staff, it always has to be instigated by the staff member. Is there a way of configuring so that:
All usergroups can instigate a private message; for staff usergroups, they can instigate a private message with any user group. For member usergroups, they can instigate a private message only with a staff group?
Thanks 😁
NB: This is also difficult when we send out an alert requiring a response, it glitches out as the members cannot instigate a message with the member of staff, therefore it's an endless loop and they are unable to use the community.

Yes, because they changed the search code in version 4.7.1 I don't understand why you are updating the forum where the template has not been updated yet. I will have time to update the templates to ips 4.7.1
Because our platform isn't working properly and we are hoping for an urgent fix

Will see what I can sort out for you once I get things sorted and online
@LiamH your site is online but applications disabled at the moment. Just determining what can be enabled without things breaking, so please dont try to update or enable any of them.
Thank you all - won't touch a thing!

Thanks but having the same issue again. What’s causing this?

Getting reports of just a blank page. Same with me too

Is there a system outage or something?

Does the slider allow the use of template logic?
I'm not sure! Is there a way I can test this to let you know?
-
Just reviewing our logged in slider text and we'd love to add some personalisation, not sure if there's already code we can embed to automatically populate with a username/avatar?
-
Would you consider adding a minimum and a maximum age? We operate an online community for 13-25 y/o's and have a real issue with people above the demographic registering

Oh thanks both! Is there a way to set up auto renewal?
