  1. For those wondering, this doesn't work in 4.6 based on my testing. Even though 4.6 has an anonymous posting feature, this plugin was much much better. In fact, now that this 4.6 feature is more mainstream but SO basic, maybe your plugin would have an even greater audience (as an improvement of a base feature) versus previously being a rather niche and unique idea? Just a thought! The fact that it could force anonymous posting for specific groups or not, and for specified forums was always so important to me. The worry was people "accidentally" posting as themselves meaning to be anonymous but forgetting to toggle the switch which this plugin handles, but 4.6 does not. Also, keeping mods and even admin-level people from easily unmasking users, and logging who HAS unmasked made me love this plugin even more. Part of reasonably anonymity is making it not too easy for staff to unmask, which yours handled quite nicely. And I loved the option of either creating a dedicated dummy account to ascribe authorship to, or just letting it do a guest hash. Seriously, 4.6's ability is SO BASIC compared to yours. 😞
  2. I had this exact question as well. Do you think there any potential ways this could be handled in the future? Perhaps an ability to highlight, favorite, or feature one or more particular episodes from a series? Just wondering, thanks!
  3. I am wondering if my conversion speed results into a new IPS 4.5 install are typical or not, and if anything can be optimized to speed up the converting process. I will need to be doing several tests before doing a "live" conversion where I take the old system down, so I am trying to do everything I can to optimize the total process and by far and away the speed of the conversion (specifically of the volume of posts) seems to be the biggest bottleneck. The linux server itself is only hitting about 600 MB of RAM usage (with 15GB+ free), Only a couple CPU cores are at about 25% CPU usage during conversion, I am getting about 800 posts a minute converted, but that comes to a max of only 1.1 million post conversions per 24-hour period. My expectations were that something like this should only take a couple hours at most. Is it just me, or is this extremely and conspicuously slow? Can anyone share their experience in terms of conversion times? Are there any significant IPS settings (Or MySQL, or PHP, etc.) from the default that could be drastically reducing my speed, or any changes from the default that could noticeably speed this up and better utilize my resources? In my case, the conversion is taking place from a local MySQL 5.7 database from a local copy of a MyBB install (the live being on a whole other server) on Ubuntu 20.04 on a brand new VPS. My testing plans involve doing a couple test conversions before doing this on the live site, but at these speeds the site would have to be taken down for much, much, longer than I planned.
  4. Is there a demo site currently available for the latest version? Does it still require control-enter when adding a message to the chat? Are mobile users able to view the Live Stream while still being able to chat or does it take the full screen? Have the problems been worked out and believe it should all be working well now? Or are some people still experiencing problems?
  5. Does it allow different members to have different things they are quitting? If so, is this set by the member themselves, or are the options set in ACP the member can choose from, or something else?
  6. Hello, I've been testing out your latest update 1.4.0 (final) of this application and have run into a problem trying to delete any answers from questions in a multi-correct quiz type. I cannot get this function to work at all. Here is how I finally tested it in the most simple way: Create a new quiz of type: Graded Mode: Multiple Right Answers Added "Test" for Title, and "Test1" for description. Click "Submit Quiz". Click "Manage Questions & Answers". Click "Add the first questions". Enter "Test" for the text of the question". Click "+ Add Answer" and "Save". Click "Delete Answer" and "OK". I get the error: Page Not Found. Error code: 2S136/B The URL it tries to open is (where I removed the first part of the URL) .../index.php?/quizzes/quiz/22-test-2/&do=deleteAnswer&q_id=5&a_id=10&wasConfirmed=1 To be clear I've not been able to delete any answer from a multiple right answer quiz at all. I've tried with multiple correct/incorrect answers, just the correct answer, just an incorrect answer, and even changing an answer from correct to incorrect. I believe the issue is something with the URL it tries to use.
  7. It would just be so that guests to the site can play a quiz for fun without registering. It would just enable unregistered visitors to play. They would just need to see their quiz score once when the finish the quiz and that's it.
  8. Would you ever consider making it so Guests can play quizzes? Or is this not really possible with how it's designed? If this would be difficult, I wonder if having a "guest player" quiz account might be a work-around? And to have a feature where this app could let you specify a single Admin-created registered "guest player" account that could ALWAYS replay quizzes?
  9. I do love your quizzes app and have had a really solid experience with it. It's definitely worth the money! Do you ever plan to add weighted answers / more advanced scoring though? That's the one thing I've really been wishing it has.
  10. Hey again, so I did have a chance to test it and I have to apologize as I think the problem was on my end and I think you're all good! I think there may have been some formatting in my Notes App that I was using to copy and paste to/from. The bottom line is that your plugin has no problem embedding pasted links, whether they are plain text or rich text, so long as there is no additional formatting within the URL (like the URL is bolded or some such). This is the same functionality level as the built-in embedding, such as Youtube links. Thanks for jumping on this, even though it turns out it was all my bad!
  11. Here's the one I uploaded as a test: https://streamable.com/s/ruo04/rojzrk https://streamable.com/ruo04 I tried using both the main URL and the "embedded" link URL it provided and both had the same results.
  12. I'm on a Mac as well, using Safari and Mojave. So if I do a normal "rich" paste of a URL using CMD+V it doesn't get converted, but if I do a plain-text paste using CMD+OPT+SHIFT+V it does get converted properly. The built-in processor for Youtube URLs in IPS handles this fine (works either way) but your processor I could only get when force-pasting plain text. So for example, take a streamable URL and paste it into the Notes App and press enter. It gets underlined and converted to rich text. Copy and paste that into IPS and it won't work with your processor (for me anyway!) but does if it's a Youtube URL. And although I mention this as a specific test you can try, even copying plain text (like from a Safari URL address bar) still seems to get pasted and presumably IPS is automatically converting into a Rich Text URL causing your processor to fail based on my testing. This testing method (copying, pasting, and recopying from Notes App before) is meant to make sure the text in the URL is in fact rich text. I hope this explanation helps maybe? Anyway, I will test this out again and also try some other browsers. I can also try this on older versions of macOS as well to see if that makes a difference and let you know.
  13. Thanks for making this! Although there is one small thing: it only works if you paste as plain text and not as rich text which is the default, so for the majority of users who don't know better this won't work for them. In contrast, the built-in embedded support in IPS (like for youtube URL's) works fine with rich text pasting. I think this would be a fantastic little upgrade to your plugin.
  14. Minor Feature suggestions: For study-mode quizzes I think it would be nice if it had the option to have the explanation auto-appear instead of having to click the explanation button. It would be nice if one could use rich text formatting for the quiz question itself as well (not just in the explanation).

    Snow

I hope you update this! Loved it last winter on 4.3, but 4.4 appears to have broken it.
  16. When you add the new quiz type that supports multiple right answers, would it possible to have weighted answers such as: A. Correct (1 pt) B. Correct (1 pt) C. Incorrect (0 pt) D. Incorrect (0 pt) E. Partial Credit (0.5 pts) F. Partial Credit (0.25 pts) If that is not the plan, would you consider adding this feature?
  17. I've discovered that if you turn off "Cache page output for guests" in Advance settings, it will no longer show any Clubs for guests! However, the plugin still behaves inconsistently and unreliably with the ""Only Forums from Clubs that I am member" option, even aside from the Guest situation. It's also worth noting I already had caching set to "none" in the first place (Even before disabling guest caching). I'm wondering if anyone does have the "Only Forums from Clubs that I am member" 100% working for them?
  18. Having continued to test this, my description of the issue is totally holding up. I should clarify though that it's not just Guests who see all clubs that anyone has checked out since the last cache refresh, but even a regular user who signs out and back in will also see any open/public clubs belongs to if that person has longed in. I'm not sure to what extent this can be totally fixed or not... all users seeing any other open/public clubs that another use has joined who has longed in since the last cache fresh, or if something can be done to the cache settings to mitigate this behavior. But personally I'd be perfectly fine with a hard coded kill switch the keeps guest accounts from seeing club forums through this plugin, if nothing else.
  19. I have determined this is apparently an IPS cache-related issue. After much experimenting reading the other comments above + my own inconsistent experiences with this I tried the following test: 1. Clear IPS cache. 2. Log in with an account belonging to an open or public club. It shows up fine as it should... only that club shows up in the forums list. 3. Log out of that account. As a Guest that previous club is still showing up. 4. Even trying a new private browser window, that previous club still shows up to the guest. 5. Clear IPS cache. 6. That club goes away as a Guest. Conclusion: It seems like anyone who logs in as a member who has joined any open/public clubs, those clubs become visible to Guests until the cache is cleared.
  20. Thanks, I understand it actually seems to be a bit inconsistent for me when running on a live active site. I'll see if I can narrow it down and let you know.
  21. For example, this is also an issue with regular members being able to see Clubs they have not joined. Yes, they could go to that Club and read the topic, but not everyone is going to want to see topics from Clubs in their forums list for which they have not joined, especially when this plugin has a setting for only showing Joined Clubs, versus the other setting for showing everything they have access to. If it's going to show everything from open/public clubs when set to only view Joined Clubs, then there is not much difference between that setting and the setting for showing everything they have access to, is there? That's very little distinction. But I look forward to what can be done with a template. Thanks!
  22. Would it be possible to just code in a feature to dis-allow guest access to showing clubs with this plugin? I have guest access enabled on my site. I have the plugin set to show only Joined clubs. And I have a mixture of club types. And it shows all the clubs for guests that are Open and I think Public. I don't want guests to see all the clubs' content just because the club is Open or Public. It puts a hugely insecure vibe on the entire site. I think hard-coding having the plugin not work with Guests as an option would be all this needs.
  23. In the explanation (in study mode), yes. (The question image stuff works fine).
  24. I truly love this application! I have noticed one bug though, I hope you can confirm this: If you upload an image into the "Explanations" area of a Study-mode quiz, you A. cannot get rid of those images, and B. they are present in all explanations. This happens wither you "insert" them into the Explanation or not. Clicking the Trash can icon and/or removing the image from the Explanation test appears to get rid of it, but if you save and come back it is still there. I have not found any way to work around this, other than deleting the quiz entirely.
  25. There needs to be a "Hide on mobile" option Clubs and for 3rd Party features, specifically iAwards *if not more* Without that, in mobile mode the header takes up the entire screen.
