Quick question on Clubs. I see you've answered this before but I didn't quite understand the solution.

When I target forums, Club forums are included too. What is the 'and not clubs' condition that I need to use to exclude Clubs from other selection sets.

I've disabled 3rd party plugins - no change.

EDIT: I added the missing field: ms_daily_points into the DB and it's saving groups now. Any idea why the field wasn't added in the first place?  Monthly points etc was in the DB. so seems like that one field was missing.

And another question. If I am selling an upgrade, for example 500 points to add signature, should add signature setting be set to off in ACP group settings? Currently I have disabled signatures, but when I add via Members Shop, the signature is not visible under posts.

From memory Jan 1, 1970 is 0 in Unix time. Maybe they managed to enter 0 (zero) or the app wrote 0 as the time stamp.

A quick FYI. 1.4.4 does not fix the prefix problem. I've tried various timings, immediately, after page load, 1 minute after etc. And in each case prefix is removed when a tag is added using a rule.

Loving this application. So many useful things you can do with it. :cool

One very quick question.  When I add tags to  a post using a rule, it removes the post prefix, (although leaves other tags in place). Is there a workaround for this?

Sorry, bad explanation on my part.

1/ Turn on Allow link...:

2/ Add address

3/ It shows this but not a map

4/ If I then remove address:

5/ I still get this.

6/ Even if I disable this:

7/ I still get this.

Seems like address is not cleared when I delete it in link edit and bedford in 5 and 7 is rendered immaterial of settings.

My apologies. It has never rendered a map, my iFramely  install was doing the map rendering. When I disabled it i Framley, I never saw maps in Link Directory.

Google maps works fine elsewhere etc (Events) so...

Thanks but I've deleted information and disabled maps but it still shows the map with random location.

No immediate need for the change at the moment thanks. But having ability per category to set URL as mandatory or not would be useful going forward.

So, working almost perfectly so far. Screenshot machine is producing perfect thumbnails in seconds.

One little issue so far.

I enabled maps and:

1/ Shows map ok, but then hides address. Need both to show really. But with option to show map only, address only, or both.

2/ So I disabled maps BUT link view still shows empty (random location) map even if I remove all address data. So this needs to be fixed if you can so that if maps disabled, maps are not shown.

Going forward, if I have large number of links (businesses) it's going to get difficult to manage. Would be great to show all links from selected category on map. Or generate a JS array of links or something so that front end devs (me) can add their own map, styling etc, on front end. Maybe a widget with ability to select categories? If you are willing to consider this addition, happy to agree modest additional $fee?

Thanks. Appreciate your candour. The auto thumbnailing to me seems like an essential service for those users who don’t know how to screen grab a website.  So just trying to get to the bottom of it that’s all. And appreciate that external services are not in your control,  but their availability does enhance your product. I suppose one could make screen grabs as an admin task once a day or something  

One other thought. If a link url wasn’t  mandatory then couldn’t this serve as a general business review product? 

Put it another way. Does your product currently, reliably get site thumbnails from any one of the supported thumbnail services? I don’t mind paying for them, infact assumed I would have to.  I’m assuming you have your own software running somewhere with thumbnails being generated.

Hey Folks...

I've been evaluating Xenforo and Invision Community for the past year and following 4.3 have decided to focus on Invision. Which is great, but like all these A or B type decisions there's good and not so good in both products.

One of the good things about Xenforo is the 3rd party Bookmarks app. It sits in full view on the menu bar and allows content to be bookmarked and vice versa by clicking on a bookmark icon in posts etc. All very simple and just as importantly, quick to use. Bookmarked content can be pinned in the drop down and also viewed in a full page setting.

I was  hoping @Fosters solution might take some pointers from the above, or perhaps they have already been included? It's difficult to tell given the lack of a demo site.
