Hello, is it possible to change the colors used in the background?

Hi Jim, thanks for your reply. This email thing is the biggest pain in the butt of all time. We are on zero blacklists and pass all checks. You wouldn't believe what some companies want us to do. For example, we can't send email to the domain t-online.de because we don't have full contact details listed on our site and our mail server doesn't use the word mail in the name. I've exchanged emails with them for days and they won't change this. Given that my family was just threatened via email by a banned user, the last thing I want to do is put my full contact details on the site. Yes, I know this is not very hard to find, but I don't want to make it any easier. Sending email is a huge pain. I found that you either pay dearly by using SendGrid or you will be stuck with huge hassles forever.

Is there a way to use the opposite of this setting? We started sending email from our own sever and it has been a disaster. Many large email domains won't accept our mail, even though we pass SPF, DKIM, DMARC, rDNS, FCrDNS, etc... The only solution I can think of is to block people from registering with these domains.

Does it work for the Contact Us form?

Hi Guys, I've been really annoyed with SPAM coming in through our Contact Us page. The one thing all of it has in common is the Russian language. I discovered that users of G Suite, myself included, can filter messages based on Russian characters in addition to many others. Here's the video I watched that shows how to do it. I tested it and it works beautifully.

Hi Guys - Many of my users, including myself, who use iOS devices must click / tap a link on my site twice for it to open. For example, when browsing the activity stream, if I tap on a topic nothing happens until I tap on it a second time. This drives my community nuts. Any idea what's going on?

I believe it does send emails. Or, there's another way to have the duplicates found by your app tell IPS to send an email with a link to the app.

I don't understand it then. It says new duplicate and when I click the link it brings me to the app to see the dups. Are you suggesting that this email, with a link to your app, isn't sent out by your app?

My Amazon SES Dashboard now says Account Status: SHUTDOWN because of this.

Ok thanks. This is really strange because massive amounts of emails are still arriving in my inbox from @CodingJungle's Duplicate application. I've uninstalled the app, rebooted the server, switched from Amazon SES (they shutdown my account because of this) and now have PHP (postfix) working. I assumed there was some backlog, but I guess not. Must be some type of delay.

Hi Guys - The Duplicates app we use is sending out thousands of emails per minute, causing Amazon SES to pause our account. Is it possible to clear the email queue of all the emails waiting to be sent? I disabled the plugin, but the emails are still coming!

Hi Guys, I just started receiving multiple emails per minute saying I have new duplicates. I can't keep up with the emails coming in. Anyone else seeing this?

These are excellent suggestions. I love this app already, but there's always room to make it better.

This is just feedback and more of a vent than anything. I really think IPS is outsmarting itself with the way dates are displayed. Can we please just display the time and date as the time and date rather than "Wednesday at 05:39 PM" I was finally driven to post this because of a post on my site, where I couldn't find the quoted post easily. You can see the actual date of the quoted post is displayed. Excellent! It says "On 4/15/2020 at 2:21 PM." I should be able to scroll back through the 731 page topic to find this date and time. However, this isn't the case. When I scroll I see nothing but, "Wednesday at 05:39 PM," "Thursday at 04:31 PM," and "Thursday at 01:39 PM." Now I have to do the math in my head to figure out the day of the week on April 15th, just to find the quoted post. Not sure why the little link / arrow is gone from the quote, but it is and I can't change that. Anyway, it really seems like IPS is trying to be one step smarter than the world with the way dates are displayed, but in reality it's just annoying. IPS is doing the time and date math for us automatically by displaying "Thursday at 04:31 PM," but that isn't what we all want. Love IPS software and support and the community. Just had to give feedback about this one that has bugged me forever.

We have a need to sort by the number of reactions within specific topics. Is this possible?

Adblock Plus is now blocking content with "data-role=sidebarAd" Please work your magic on this as well. I'm very thankful of what's been done already concerning this overall issue.

Thanks for the reply. That’s what I ran into with the sidebar not loading on mobile when I changed the name in the template. Given that Adblock Plus is blocking sidebarAd, what can we do about this? Thanks for any help you can provide.

Hi Guys - As I wrote in this topic - HERE - we need to change the data-role name from sidebarAd to something without the name "Ad" in it because Adblock Plus blocks anything with this name. I can rename the data-role in the template but then the sidebar has trouble being displayed on mobile devices for some reason (see linked topic above). Question: What's the best way to rename a data-role?

Looking further into this, I can't figure out why the sidebar isn't being shown. IN the screenshot below you can see the data-role has my change "sidebarAxd". This enabled it to be shown despite Adblock Plus and it works for the desktop. On mobile (screenshot below) you can still see the image in the code, but it isn't displayed. It's as if there is a display=none somewhere. Does anyone have any clue how to get this working? I opened a support ticket, but this is outside the scope of support.

I ran into a problem after changing the template above. The issue is that on mobile, the sidebar doesn't load at the bottom of the page. As soon as I change the template back to sidebarAd rather than sidebarAxd, then it loads on mobile just fine. Is there an actual solution to getting the sidebar to load when people are using adblock plus? The name "sidebarAd" should be a red flag.

I just edited core > front > global > sidebar to change "<div data-role='sidebarAd'>" to "<div data-role='sidebarAXd'>" and it appears to work.
