  1. Hi there,

    Some feedback:

    "Gallery" - would be good if it actually rendered thumb nails instead of links when viewed in HTML to make the email more attractive to view.

    loving the plugin so far will be good for my members :)

    1) Yes.

    2) templates are not newsletters. A template is just a wrapper. You create one newsletter, define the activity you want to include  (e.g. recent topics, latest articles), then you schedule it to go out monthly and never think about it again.

    3) Yes.

    Sold!

  3. Hi @HeadStand

    I am thinking of purchasing this addon, but have some questions first:

    1) Can I subscribe all my existing members to receive this newsletter on a monthly basis?
    2) Can I create a single "template" that will mail them a monthly digest of activity or do I have to create a monthly newsletter manually and mail it out?
    3) Will new members who join to my website be automatically subscribed to the newsletter?

    Cheers,

    Pete

  4. Morning,

    Still having issues I'm afraid. the fix for fcontentWidget.php worked, so now able to select the slider.

    I replaced my cimage folder with the one you provided in the attachment.

    But the slider is still not displaying.

    From F12 debugging tools I can see the URLS are loading, but are not being rendered into the slider.

    cimage.png

    Notice some of the off-site URLs are being pulled in by the imageproxy as I am running https on my website.

    Example:

    https://www.vr6oc.com/cimage/webroot/img.php?src=https://www.vr6oc.com/forum/applications/core/interface/imageproxy/imageproxy.php?img=https:/scontent.cdninstagram.com/t51.2885-15/s640x640/sh0.08/e35/14031617_1314889621871942_1234446545_n.jpg?ig_cache_key&key=6da7259694889384f3dda53cb8729f313d875d6d73e4a576b9e92e9ce13678e0&w=310&h=220&cf&q=90

    I have checked that the real URL is valid, which it is: https://scontent.cdninstagram.com/t51.2885-15/s640x640/sh0.08/e35/14031617_1314889621871942_1234446545_n.jpg

    Furthermore I have checked locally hosted images, which appear to open OK in browser but are not rendered in a slider,

    https://www.vr6oc.com/cimage/webroot/img.php?src=https://www.vr6oc.com/forum/uploads/monthly_2016_08/IMG_1472588274.333787.thumb.jpg.6f73550e2093d5e303f4d80a6ce38aae.jpg&w=310&h=220&cf&q=90

    Even with cimage disabled, sliders do still not render...

    Suspect it may have something to do with the image proxy handling as the following just returns a 500 error internal error?

    https://www.vr6oc.com/forum/applications/core/interface/imageproxy/imageproxy.php?img=http:/uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160914/47a98f4b98da05b8b253087d0d40be8c.jpg&key=20515b650b26ac5f99a2383703f6cc859e539d01021d68599a81b8afca952199

    again, http:/uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160914/47a98f4b98da05b8b253087d0d40be8c.jpg is a valid URL to the image.

    Try to open \applications\featuredcontent\widgets\fcontentWidget.php

    Find

    $form->add( new \IPS\Helpers\Form\Select( 'sliderID_to_show', isset( $this->configuration['sliderID_to_show'] ) ? $this->configuration['sliderID_to_show'] : 0, TRUE, array( 'options' => $options, 'parse' => 'normal' ) ) );

    Replace by

    $form->add( new \IPS\Helpers\Form\Select( 'sliderID_to_show', isset( $this->configuration['sliderID_to_show'] ) ? intval( $this->configuration['sliderID_to_show'] ) : 0, TRUE, array( 'options' => $options, 'parse' => 'normal' ) ) );

    Save

    I see the issue slider can not be shown because all images have dead links.

    deadimgs.jpg

    Try to use this cimage version

    https://invisionpower.com/applications/core/interface/file/attachment.php?id=71715

    Or config your cimage to allow external url.

    Will take a look tomorrow ??

    I can not reproduce this issue, can you give me the screenshots of slider & widget configurations?

    on the widget configuration despite selecting my feed associated with forum, it keeps defaulting back to my slider that is on the home page.

    will upload screenshots shortly.

    forum2.png

    Above, if I select "Forum" and click save, next time I open it again it displays the "Home" widget, so not actually able to select "Forum" for what ever reason, but if I add feed from gallery, it selects and remembers the option OK

    forum1.png

  7. Have updated to latest version and tried to create a feed from forum, however this does not appear work, the slider simply doesn't display.

    If I change the get content from "Forum" to another source - example gallery it displays content OK.

    any ideas?

    Thanks.

  8. Hiya.

    I run my site in HTTPS

    I used the image re-sizing script https://ipsviet.com/cimage/webroot/img.php?src={url}&w={width}&h={height}&cf&q=90 in the past, but https no longer works, If I run it with just http the page with the slider on do not load in https.

    What options do I have with this ?

    Wouldn't it be good if the slider did what forum images do and store it via the image proxy so always loads as https once resized?

    Thoughts welcome ^_^

    Hello Mike, after IPS 4.1.14 update, I have this error:

    errorEX40_collections.png

    I can reproduce this error in 2 cases:

    1.- In the collections sections. In my case: https://www.website.com/forum/garage

    If I click in "My Vehicles" (https://www.website.com/forum/garage/list-all/?filter=collections_filter_myitems) buttom.

    2.- If I click in the "View all vehicles" link (https://www.clubpeugeot.es/foro/garage/list-all/) in the sidebar "Lastest vehicles" collections block.

    Yes also able to reproduce this.

  11. Hi Mike.

    Wanting to use this to allow my members to submit a "feature car" for my website.

    Ideally I want to present users with a forum with different categories that contain fields for the user to fill in.

    What is important is for users to submit a number of photos in different categories;

    exterior / interior / engine bay etc..

    what is then needed is for the submission(s) to be reviewed by moderator for approval to display as a forum post within my website which contstructs the content / photos into a topic.

    before I considered purchasing this I wanted to make sure it is the right product for me.

    Can you please clarify on the above points?

    cheers

    pete

  12. Cache Method = APC

    ACP Support;

    here are some problems with your database. Normally it is safe to try to fix these problems automatically however if your community is large, you may want to run the necessary queries manually. If so, the queries to run are:

    ALTER TABLE `membermap_markers_groups` ADD KEY `group_position` (`group_position`);
    UPDATE `membermap_markers` SET `marker_open`=0 WHERE `marker_open` IS NULL;
    ALTER TABLE `membermap_markers` CHANGE COLUMN `marker_open` `marker_open` TINYINT (1) NOT NULL DEFAULT 0 COMMENT '', ADD KEY `marker_member_id` (`marker_member_id`), ADD KEY `marker_parent_id` (`marker_parent_id`);

    How many markers do you have? I'm working on a new caching method for maps with more than 4000 markers. That calculated memory consumption for doing that in one go is roughly 40-45MB. If you have less than that I'll need to lower the limit.

    What this new method does is firing a task in the background instead of doing it in one go. The downside of this is a slight delay from when a marker is added till it's visible on the map. In my tests the task fired instantly, so there were no delay at all, but that might change if there are other tasks in the queue.

    I have around 2,000 markers in there at the moment.

    I have 128mb dedicated to PHP currently and has fallen over. I have asked hosting to increase to 256mb but they were not too happy as on shared hosting!
