  2. Okay. Took me forever to find that. It's not part of the block, but shows up as an icon at the bottom of the page. Awesome. Thank you.
  3. In version 5, the recent Topics Feed block and the recent Posts Feed block are basically identical, and I don't like the new Topic Feed. In version 4, it would display JUST a list of the most recent topics. I usually set it to display the most recent 5 topics. But in version 5, it shows not just the title, but a rather large snippet of the actual post as well. This is undesirable because it creates a lot of clutter. Is there any way to get it to display ONLY the topic titles like it does by default in v4?
  4. I've played around with 5.0 in my dev site (-testinstall). I'll be feeling pretty good, but then come here and read these threads and will get all scared to upgrade my main sites, lol.
  5. IF your username and password is automatically filled in when you visit your site's login page, then it's probably saved in your browser. You can usually retrieve saved usernames and passwords in your browsers settings if you typically tell your browser to "save passwords".

  8. Duh! I feel pretty dumb, lol. I got so involved in playing around with new features and design changes that I forgot the obvious... I can still offer multiple themes.
  9. So in the AdminCP we can turn on permissions on a membergroup basis to allow users in that group to adjust how the forum displays to them. When toggled on, then they can visit their Account Settings and choose for themselves Feed View, Table View, Card View, whether the Topic List is simple or condensed, and whether user posts have left side user info or the newer condensed user info above the post. I desire to make the Sidebar Navigation the DEFAULT view for unregistered guests, but I know some of my users will want to be able to turn that off and just stick with the traditional header. Could this feature be added so that each user can choose for themselves whether they see the sidebar navigation OR the traditional header?
  10. Can I do a "TESTINSTALL" with Version 5 to familiarize myself with it before trying to implement it on my 2 active communities? I have a v4 test install in a hidden location. My thought would be to upgrade that first to see how things go.

  12. What someone needs to do, is create a "Status Updates" plugin that can copy the Status Updates in 4.x and then continue it's functionality in 5.0

  17. Create a Membergroup called "Banned Users" and remove these permissions. Then when you ban a member, also place him in this group.
  18. I use that Back to Top plugin by Vortex, but this is his site here... https://invisionfocus.de/files/file/74-back-2-top/
  19. Make it a Staff policy, and then fire them if they do 😄
  20. You might have to Edit the templates. I actually Edit my own [child] templates, and keep a written record of my changes.
  21. No, I see what you are saying now. For me, the none of the sidebar blocks from the topic-list page will show on the start-a-topic form page. However, any blocks on in the header and footer of the main page do carry over to the start-a-topic page, which is probably what you are referring to.
  22. @igniteyourfeelings - Thank you for this. This pointed me in the right direction. Ironically, the account I use regularly is has this Sub-Admin membergroup as my Primary Group and regular Administrator as my Secondary Group. Since my account was attached to the Sub-Admin membergroup, it was not allowing me to make any Edits to this membergroup. I had to remove myself from the group in order to get the option to Edit that groups AdminCP privileges. I'm used to Secondary groups permissions overriding the Primary groups restrictions. I just learned that when is comes to AdminCP permissions and restrictions, it works in reverse.
  23. This doesn't happen on my installation(s) at all. I have blocks on the topic-list page, but my start-a-topic form/page has no blocks whatsoever.
