As expected yet another dev has abandoned it altogether. It is only becoming more and more effort, numerous different dev sites to sign up to, costlier to develop custom replacements, increased passing the buck chances. 😞

It is really starting to become more effort than it is worth. Not to mention costlier still. Useful feature after useful feature that makes a community a community slowly gets taken away eg chat and marketplace. So what is the point? Great for corporations sure. What are the best modern alternatives to IPS now? Any that support easy conversions?

Sadly, it will also mean some developers will simply not bother continuing. This was perhaps supposed to be something easy enough to do on the side for them. They are not interested in making life more complex for themselves nor interested in starting their own webshops. I can already see some devs abandoning things even now...

Sorry, but this is a sucky move. It will be more incentive still to move away from Invision and will likely dissuade new users looking to easily, cheaply and rapidly implement Invision with some customized functions. Now you'll need to pay out of ear for custom development and be held in by the very limited devs experienced with this platform. You'll also need to verify them yourself, somehow and you'll need accounts on countless sites to even try to facilitate those modules, coming from all different devs.

Indeed it is strange. Tried on a stock theme (same installation) and still didn't work. Is it possible to uninstall/reinstall without losing all the data somehow? Your inbox appears to be full.

Maybe its the theme though everything before the latest updates worked. Switching to 'default ips' theme is not enough (didn't work) and need to create a new default theme?

How can I check this? Mine is missing what your screenshot shows even though it is enabled in settings. You are running the latest IPS version? Any ideas then?

Please do. It used to show but now is not regardless of any setting combination and clearing cache.

Has "Invited By" on public profile been disabled in latest updates or do additional settings need modification? Not showing up now.

Some people might be posting using external content or links like imgur. So when it shows on the forum having it appear watermarked would be good. In the right direction yep 🙂 You would need to cover the center left, center right, center top, and center bottom. Would also need to allow for diagonals and offsetting/adjustments/placement management in case the default doesnt look right for some reason or is covering up some important part. You'd also want to allow for opacity/transparency adjustments. Awesome. Should be possible as it was previously and is on other platforms. Btw, I noticed earlier you added a new feature, selection of forum section, I would then add to this another feature which is the ability to not have some things watermarked. So perhaps by default watermarking can be enabled, but maybe there can be a front end option (if enabled by admin) that can be selected to bypass watermarking if a poster chooses so? Occasionally there might be a reason not to have something watermarked...

🙂 It is an inverse relationship imo. The more of those features you have the more likely it will sell and sell even better vs a minimalist basic setup. I would buy it instantly and probably pay more too if it had more of those options (which really only brings it in line with offerings like on wordpress and so on) GD has 7 formats? ImageMagick does like 200 formats right?

Nice start 🙂 However are you planning to: -allow text watermark -watermark external content -allow watermark location management -allow watermark size/font size management -watermark existing content -being able to remove watermark (restoring original pics) ? What image formats does it currently work with? Any plans to include watermarking of other formats and maybe documents too?

You guys should try listening to what your customers are actually asking for!
