I would like to see "watch this topic" button at the bottom of a thread

Suggestion: Please add an AdminCP option to remove signatures when displaying PMs! They drive me nuts on my board when reading/scrolling through personal conversations.

I can see the need in forums where they work better, but in PM's I think signatures are too distracting!

In horizontal display, we might want to be able to choose between ABOVE the forums, and BELOW the forums.

I'm nuts about this hook, I love it!

However, I'm not crazy with the "above the fold" placement when I've got so much room in the vertical right sidebar.

Good chance you guys probably have been asked this, but maybe with the option of your Facebook status going to your IPB Status... why not Twitter status onto IPB? I know that Twitter is very easily integrated with many things, and even most common-day programmers are able to do stuff with Twitter. May be a nice option to look into it!

Other than that, love 3.0. Hate the design of it (but that is why we can make skins, right? ;)). Keep it up IPB.

Yeah... It does get complex and that's why I was mentioning the idea that the decision can only be made at time of renewal.

At this time I would make it a $20 fee for perpetuals with active support regardless of the time that has passed since the last time the yearly renewal was paid. If it's little time *I* don't think they/we would mind waiting and if it's a bit longer I don't think $20 are much of a problem for those who really want the service right now. I would make it a point of no nonsense can I pay 10%, 1%, etc, clean and simple.

Then when the renewal date comes again it would be time to make a decision... $50 for support + services, or $30 for support.

How about a price difference? At least for perpetuals... If a customer is active in their license, and pays the difference ($20 a year) gets the new service? Would end up paying the same as the other guys and the "second class" feeling would be gone.

At time of renewal the user would decide whether he would like to pay $30 for the year for support, no extra services... Or $50 for the year for support + services. :)


For lifetimers would have to be different I am guessing.

I would like to see IPB ACP configured so that Admin's can drag and drop the order in which the Skins appear on the forums. Sort of like how we can drag and drop the forums in ACP.

Well, if we did we'd have to make it optional. I don't think that a current perpetual license holder who is used to paying $30 a year for support is going to appreciate a price hike.

Honestly, it was never our intention to make anyone feel 'second-class'. We just introduced a new service to help combat spam. If there's enough demand for a separate pay-for service then we'll be foolish to not consider it. Please understand that we value all our customers and will always take on any feedback that's given.

Yes we will have support for things like that as it gets going :)

Will probably require that requests for removal are only from active customers who have been a customer for greater than X days. That way you don't get spammers stealing a credit card, buying an IPB, and requesting removal.

You were promised lifetime support and upgrades and that promise has been kept.
This service is not support - it is new service that we never promised or announced or even mentioned before.
There are of course costs involved with maintaining this service and so it has been made available only to holders of a current, active license.
You are of course welcome to remain on the license you purchased, with the terms that were promised to you at the time, or pay for this new service :)
