Yes, you may well be able to achieve things by custom development, however there is no native setting for this. We are unable to assist with custom development. I have however moved this to our developer connection forum, as someone there may be able to assist.

Which would be a bug if it was showing, as you can only see resources that are compatible with the version you are running.
The more correct answer would be related to the fact you are in the Members group on here, and not Clients... which would be an indication that your license has expired. If you have just renewed then you need to logout and back in to trigger the group movement to occur.
And an even more correct answer is that the resource is not available for purchase, as the vendor is also not in the Clients group.

Any chance to update to 4.5?

You should be able to do this in the latest release! Do you not see the options present?
You can technically do this using the advanced tag editor by just leaving the HTML empty, or adding style="display:none;" to the tags HTML element. But this is an interesting idea, I'll see about implementing it officially to the standard customization wizard as well!
