  1. That will not be in 3.0.0. It's been requested before, and the consensus is that it serves no purpose. You can't possibly get a "summary" of a topic simply by viewing the first x number of characters of the first post of the entire topic. I'm sure someone will make such a mod though.
  2. Assuming you have an active license, there will be an upgrade package for you to download in your client area.
  3. A popup with a wider editing area already exists. Click the green plus on a tab. If not much else can be done to increase the width of the editing area, I do like the idea of being able to collapse the templates list -- that would save some valuable real estate.

    Topic Stats

How could there be 7 replies and 0 views? Are the counters updated only so often?
  5. Rikki tweeted about this once before: http://ie6update.com/
  6. A smaller text size would help. Compare the size of the text in the 2.3 editor to the 3.0 editor.
  7. I'm not really keen on doing that every time I want to edit the skin though.
  8. No one said anything about removing the word wrapping, but in it's current form it leaves the editor text with poor readability.
  9. So can something be done like making the text smaller to combat the word wrapping?
  10. Look at it in comparison to the 2.3 editor. It looks like nothing is properly left-aligned. New lines and statements are just floating in the middle of the editor. And yes, I think a wider editor with smaller font would help.
  11. This (2.3 example): is a lot easier to read through than this (3.0 example): the tabbing and alignment is whacked.
  12. The way the new editor loads the templates is really hard on readability.
  13. If you are aware of unauthorized distribution or use of IPS products, report it by using this form.
  14. Or place them in the gray section. The border and how it doesn't cover the right side of the text box looks ugly.
  15. No one said anything about popping out.
  16. That would be nice, similar to the quick PM.
  17. I might edit the skin and add an ellipses before it.
  18. This may be a matter of personal preference, but how about changing the category marker of a redirect forum to "read" after the link is clicked on once? That way it wouldn't stay lit when, for example, the entire board is marked as read.
  19. That would be nice, especially, as AtariAge said, if the choice could be saved.
  20. I echo AtariAge's sentiments.
  21. I'm not sure how plausible it is from a programming perspective, but there could be a central notification spot for watched/subscribed, new PMs, friend adds/requests, etc. But at that point, if there is a "bar" for chat, notifications, etc. then I know that members who are against facebook will complain that the forum is a copy of facebook. Maybe something could be implemented in a similar but different way...
  22. I don't use the shoutbox on my forum 24/7 (only open it for "live chats") but at least everyone can read and participate, whereas an IM is just a live private conversation.
  23. It defeats the purpose of the forum -- to interact with one another.
  24. I feel like it would encourage impulsive making of new topics without even reading others or searching for similar ones, especially with new members.
