Are you talking about on this forum? If so, they've disabled it intentionally through the ACP. It's an option you can change on your own board.

For the record, I still don't understand why the layout was changed. It worked perfectly well and looked more than organized as a table.

It'd be nice to have the ability to add custom content blocks without a third party modification :).

So much for the hook idea -- just realized hooks are disabled during Performance Mode (which I don't really think is necessary). I can always just publish the skin edits as an article I suppose.

Considering it's your first time, you wouldn't understand that an RC release is the first testing release that a large amount of people are going to install and test out. There are only so many bugs that can be found by the amount of people who opt to test the Beta releases. Now that more people are using the RC, more bugs are going to be found and reported. I don't really understand what would lead you to believe that the first RC is 'bad'.

No, it wouldn't. The MSSQL driver allows IPB to work for those using an MSSQL database instead of a MySQL database.

IPS doesn't use it on the Company Forums, so you won't be able to see it here. You can test it out on your own site or localhost with the RC.

Perhaps it's something that could be implemented once a better search index (i.e. Recent Activity, etc.) solution is found? Or are the two unrelated?

The upgrader would be available for testing, not for upgrading your live site to an RC.

I'm pretty sure you were never told to expect annual summer releases. The license renewal isn't solely for software upgrades -- you get access to staff support and the Resources site and forums.

Why does anyone care so much about when it's released, anyway? Stop rushing the process which, for the most part, has been going well thus far.
