    Waiting for you to upgrade it to 4.6. Invision's new way of installing through ACP doesn't give you a way to download it and manually install it, even if 4.5 version may work.

  2. Is there a way to name the files linked by URL, if multiple links are added. Say that I have a book and each chapter has its own link. Right now it just shows the word file. Is there a way to make it where you can name each link, such as Chapter 1, Chapter 2, etc. instead of file for each one?

  3. I might be overlooking the setting, but is there a way to limit the levels of forums that are displayed?

    For example:

    Main Category
    - Forum 1
    - - Sub Forum 1
    - Forum 2
    - - Sub Forum 2

    Is there a setting if I only want to show the category and the top level forums (ie Forum 1 and Forum 2), but not the sub forums (ie Sub Forum 1 and Sub Forum 2). I cant seem to find where to set the limit of how many levels it shows.

  4. It's a known issue. I really don't see why the Marketplace needs to generate invoices anyways. If it's renewable and your time has expired, just click renew and go from there. That prevents things like this from happening, and it is apparently an ongoing issue which hasn't been addressed.

  5. I really question why I continue coming back to Invision, because inevitably something seems to always happen after I renew my account. This time, all I was trying to do was download a purchase I made in the Marketplace. My renewal period had expired, and I just tried to pay to renew it. Unfortunately the invoice had expired and would not create a new on, no matter what options I chose. I submitted a support ticket (ticket #953764) nearly 48 hours ago, to what I thought was the most appropriate department (apparently not), and it still has not been responded to.

    I found a post in the forums that matched my issue:

     and commented on it. AndyF responded to it and told me to email marketplace@invisionpower.com with the details. I figured since I submitted a support ticket it wouldn't be long, but I was wrong. So, a little while ago I sent the details to the email, hoping to get a response that way. I am, about 46 hours in, just so I can pay $10 to be able to download an updated version of a theme. It is very disappointing that it takes this much just to be able to give someone money. :angry:

    don't personally agree that this should be a software thing. Moderators exist for a reason, as I see it. That said, there's several things I don't personally think should be in the software and conversely there's things I think should be. The software isn't built for any one individual, including myself - so that is the beauty of how we do things at IPS; everything is vetted based on the interest of the product and the majority of our client-base. If this is a 20 minute thing and it makes sense to do it, we'll certainly consider it. My point was and is -- you really need to understand our position in that the majority of clients do not want and are quite open about not wanting pages and pages of options, toggles and tweaks. We (and you) should be selective with setting requests - as I previously said; people come up with dozens of wanted settings every couple of days... can you imagine what the software would be like if we added them all? 

    I mentioned I'll check into it next week and I promise that I will. Let's please keep this on point - not everything needs to be a grand debate when we don't agree. I love interacting with you guys - truly, that's what drives us, but trying to fit a square peg in a round hole just leads to frustration for all. 

    I'll follow up on this after speaking to development.

    I have to wholeheartedly disagree with you there Lindy. If there is a function added, there should be an option to disable it. Not everyone wants everything the software has to offer, and as an admin of a site, you should have complete control over what you want and don't want. What Joe Blow, who runs a different site, shouldn't be able to dictate what my site uses and doesnt. What's good for the goose isn't always good for the gander.

  7. Is there a way to rebuild URL in IPS 4? For example, I had to remove words out of titles, which I don't want in the URL. Is there a way to have the URLs rebuilt so that these words would be removed from them as well?

  8. @Lindy Well, they got to mine today, only to say we need login and ftp info. I gave them ftp and you should have had login info since the software created it's own admin account at the time I submitted the ticket. The next I get is that this is going to need further investigation and that is could take longer and is only available Monday through Friday. The thing is, according to my logs I don't even show where someone has even attempted to sign in to either the software or ftp, so not quite sure how they know that it needs escalating or not. So... about how long will I need to wait again before Tier II will get the opportunity to look at it?

    :( But thanks for responding and letting me know. Kinda disappointing since it has typically taken less than 24 hours in the past.

    That is what is driving me crazy as it has worked in the past for me. But then again, the RSS/Atom Feed Importer is different from what I remember, and the last time I used it was back in 4.0, so I'm not sure if something has changed and this possibly could be a bug.

    What version are you running?

  11. Kevin, is there a way to set the number of collaborations allowed to be created based on usergroups, as opposed to a default for everyone? For example, I would like basic members to only be able to create 1 collaboration, but paying members could create up to 5. If not, can this be added as a feature in a future version.

    I realize that if a paying member has created 5 and reverts back to a non-paying member that could be an issue, but basically they just wouldn't be able to create anymore in the future.
