Looking for a fix as well.

Any update on Michael? Hope he is okay.

We run an auction every year on our site to help raise donations. I have been using the Raffles application to do this. But it was not really designed to do this. We run it like a "Chinese Auction" or "Basket Raffle". It has been pretty successful for us and our members look forward to it every year. But it is a lot of work to run and confusing to users.
I would love to see someone develop an app where users can purchase chances to win certain prizes. Then the system awards a random winner for each auction.

That does not explain why he gets the attachment error when he logs in but not when I log in AS him. But, when I actually log in as him using his u/p I DO get the error message.
-
So it seems he resized his browser (zoom) and that's why the menu items were missing. The editor was showing the options set for medium.
-
I have just confirmed that he is using Microsoft Edge for a browser on a laptop.
I cannot replicate the missing icons in the editor. He has already cleared his cache and history.

Please feel free to add that to the ticket, but its unlikely those are related
Will do.
I suspect he is using an older browser or maybe even IE. It's hard to say. When I ask him what browser he is using, he didn't know what that meant. Also, there seems to be some confusion in my community as to what "desktop vs mobile" means. 😮
-
He also claims that the GIF and font menu items are not in the editor for him. But I could not replicate that logging in as him or logging in using his U/P. I could access all editor menu options. strange.
I did look at error logs. But I have no idea what I am looking for.

I have a user that is getting an error when he checks his Attachments. I logged in as him through the APC and did not see the error message. However, when I actually log out and log in using his U/P I get the Something Went Wrong error message. Error code: EX0
When I look at his attachments he is only using 7.76 MB of unlimited allowance.
He is the only user that I know of having this issue.

I ended up removing this application in order to move over to PHP8. Now that I have my site running on 8, I would like to re-install the application. I am assuming the latest version will not cause an issue now that I'm running 8.
If download and install new will all my previous links be there or will I have to start from scratch?

UPDATE
Just a quick update on this. After a lot of help from @Jim M I have managed to get my site onto PHP 8.0.
It seems even though all my third party applications and plugins were turned off, PHP 8 still did not like certain ones installed - so I had to remove the offending apps. Unfortunately in order to remove them, I had to switch back to 7.4.
I was hesitant to delete them all at once hoping that it was only one that was causing the issue. So I ended up testing the removal of each app one by one. In the end I had to remove all of them. Here are the third party apps I was forced to remove:
- Movies
- Forms
- Ideas
- Raffles System
- Links Directory
I am hoping to have updated versions back online as soon as possible. My members really enjoy them.
Hope this is helpful. 😄

Could you please update the ACP credentials on file? I would like to try recovery mode but cannot login to the ACP once I set it with the invalid credentials on file. Please ensure you update the display name with an email address
Hmm. I did already. I will PM you

2 things I recommend trying:
- Running the requirements checker that Randy mentioned above (https://invisioncommunity.com/files/file/7046-invision-community-requirements-checker/)
- Disabling all third-party applications and plugins.
If you're still having issues, there should be an error message presented from our software when attempting to access the ACP. If you're receiving just a blank page, you would need to consult your server error log.
Did both.
Still getting blank screen using the default theme. No error message in ACP.
Do I need to remove all third-party applications and plugins or just disable them?
I also notice that the back end is really slow now after moving to PHP8. Should I change it to 8.1?

Not sure if this helps.

That is not, I’m afraid. That would be the server denying access to another area of your server that is not our software.
I didn't think so. I'll reach out to my host. Sorry for being so dim.

What is the error you receive on PHP 8? That needs to be provided here and we can provide further direction.
There is no error. Only a blank screen.

Thanks, so I am back to where I started.
I want to upgrade to move to 8 before November.
I have disabled all the incompatible third party applications.
I switch to PHP 8, but can no longer access site - using default theme.
Do I need to remove all incompatible customization to move to PHP 8?
-
Should be set now. Thanks.

Where my posts deleted?

I was able to switch back to 7.4 but I cannot get into admin. Gives me the same error. I miss the days when I had technical support...
At this rate, if I cannot fix it I may have to close the site all together. It should not be this hard.. I've been a customer 17 years and it all has to stop because I can't do a simple move to PHP 8.

Can you temporarily switch back to 8.1 to look at the global template for customizations?
Catch 22. No error. Just a blank screen now. This is getting really frustrating. And I still can't access admin.

I have all the incompatible 3rd party apps turned off too.

After switching to back to PHP 7.4 from PHP 8.1, I can no longer access the AdminCP. I am getting the error below. How can I access AdminCP to restore?
[[Template core/admin/global/globalTemplate is throwing an error. This theme may be out of date. Run the support tool in the AdminCP to restore the default theme.]]
