I have not this

There's an option in the ACP -> Members -> Group you need to enable: Can change layouts.

Disable the Sticky Notes, edit the groups, then re-enable it.

Hi @Cath Foster,

If you are on Cloud, you can request the upgrade via the Client Area → Manage this purchase → Upgrade to Invision Community 5.

If you are on Classic, you can simply download v5 via the Client Area → Manage this purchase → Download Invision Community 5.

Thanks @Gary I get this when I click Request Upgrade? image.png

This is so good and the support fantastic I'm actually going to upgrade my Cloud account to the next level. I don't want or need any of the features but feel supporting this brilliant software is the right thing to do. Thanks Team Invision 👍

An especially big thanks to @Marc , he's awesome 😁

Thank you for the shout out, but really is a huge team effort. Often you will see me typing things to you here or in a ticket, but what you wont see is me typing in our internal chat "Where on earth was this again? Cant see it anywhere!" 😄

Also - our staging site is not showing up in the manage your purchase listing, how can we do it on our staging site first before we do a live site?

Please respond in the ticket that I created for you on this issue, and we can assist from there

Always happy to help. I'm sure the team are assisting you as we speak. 😎

I'm sorry for any confusion, however, we haven't performed upgrades on Classic/self-hosted in years... perhaps a decade. It's fairly straightforward -- simply download, upload and run /admin/upgrade. Or, we would be happy to help migrate you to cloud. 😉

@Lindy I am ready to move to the cloud and was told with only a "Beginner" plan (that's all I need) there would be a $250 charge to migrate. Since I've self-hosted and looked after all my needs since the dinosaurs were roaming, I'm happy to give you $588 per year for the beginner plan which is considerably more than the $80 I was paying per year; however, paying a one-time $250 charge to migrate, which is something I could do myself, is bit of a deal breaker.

Thoughts?

I’m in a similar situation, but still planning when I’ll make the move. I think the migration fee is a good deal. They are providing a service that’s likely much more costly that $250 (if you consider the hourly rate of an expert), but they can make it up in the long run.

I don't share the same sentiment. Hard to justify a migration fee when I could migrate my site myself in 15-30 minutes. $250 migration fee is $500/hr for an expert. I don't make income like that. If I stay self-hosted, I pay $199 per year for expertise. That's roughly 6.8 cents per hour.

There has to be a more affordable option for the small sites even if we account for only 15% of the income that IPS makes.

You couldn’t setup the infrastructure and migrate your site in that time. Think about the total cost.

I'm not asking anyone to build a new data center for $250. It's 15-30 minutes to migrate a site to an existing infrastructure. I used to have 4 licenses and migrated/upgraded them, etc.. many many times in 20 years. I'm paying IPS $588 annually for the data center and infrastructure. It seems like the small sites are being penalized with a 30% premium for their first year n the cloud.

Is this a tariff thing? 😊

So the software is free? 😊
