404 errors on hosting

Recommended Posts

We had an invision community cloud subscription - but it wasn't fit for purpose, so we brought self hosted.

Think in the migration self hosted is somehow drawing from old files in cloud now? and we're getting 404 errors.

Site is https://www.startupnetworks.co.uk/ having loads of issues..

Console is throwing out errors constantly and having loads of issues.

Could contain: Page, Text, File

Issues like:

Can't close this

Could contain: File, Page, Text, Webpage, Person

ALL pages are 404?

Could contain: Page, Text, Logo, File

Excerps ruined now

Could contain: File, Webpage, Page, Text, Person, Computer Hardware, Electronics, Hardware, Monitor, Screen

The entire site is messing up really badly.

Our SEO is tanking because of this

Any ideas!?

My developer person is saying files are messed up from the migration from Cloud to Self Hosted?

Go into your ACP, to the Search Engine Optimization section - if "Enable Friendly URLs" is enabled, disable it, save and go back to the front-end to see if it has made a difference to the loading of topics.

Could contain: File, Webpage, Text, Page

If it has, then go back and enable the setting and if you have "Rewrite URLs" enabled then ensure that the htaccess file provided in the ACP is put in place.

Thanks for the suggestion, didn't work unfortunately 😞

Have you tried going to the support page in the acp and reloading the cache as none of the javascript files for invision seem to be loading currently. You're also going to need to change your files settings to stop using the invision S3 storage at some point, as you're still pointed to that (it's working right now, but won't forever)
