Is there a 'Save as Draft' option in blogs or articles?

This is my first time working with the blogs and articles in IPS, and I'm reading through the help guides and working in the AdminCP. 

We are setting up an area for a certain member to publish articles/entries periodically. This could look like a blog or a series of articles or posts, so I'm open to the options. He's not very tech-savvy, and he likes to work on his articles for awhile before publishing them. They also need another member accessing them to do formatting, add images, etc. 

Do either articles or blogs offer the option to save an entry in progress as a draft? Something that would allow both the writer and formatter a chance to work on the piece before it is published live on the site?

Set a date, work away on the content, and then publish it when ready.

There is also the "hide" options as well as the "require approval" option for pages databases. Both options would allow admins to review and work on articles while they remain offline.
