Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
Robert Angle Posted August 3, 2023 Posted August 3, 2023 So I purchased a new server and have been moving everything over. I have a test installation on another domain seperate from the main community. I haven't upgraded it in a long time, but I attempted it today and the upgrade stalled with the following message... I am worried about moving my live community to the new server and then encountering the same issue, so I am looking for advice on how to resolve this ahead of time. I've had upgrades break my community more than we like lately.
Randy Calvert Posted August 3, 2023 Posted August 3, 2023 Have you confirmed imagemagik is installed and working on the new server? You might need to switch to GD and then try again. Also if this is a new server, I would highly recommend making sure you run the compatibility checker script to make sure you have all of the prerequisites installed on the server, including the right versions of PHP. Marc Posted August 3, 2023 Posted August 3, 2023 You would need to contact your hosting company on that issue, as thats an issue with your imagemagick installation

Yeah, ImageMagick was not installed, but even after installing it I still ran into that error message. I ended up restoring my test-install back to it's pre-upgrade state and switching to GD. Then the upgrade went flawlessly. Randy Calvert 1
