Can mod/admin see username of anonymous posts?

it is a moderator permission. You can find it under the Content tab. For more please see the attached screenshot.

Another thing, there seems to be no hashtags on anonymous post that can be used to tell posters apart.
Is it supposed to behave this way or am I missing a setting for this?

Im not sure what you mean by hashtags here? If the user is shown as anonymous, then thats all that will show. There is nothing to diffferentiate

I mean an unique identifier that makes it possible to follow who is who in a topic.

An IPB forum I use adds a code at the bottom of anonymous post, like this: Anonymous poster hash: afbc8...3c5

That would require custom coding.

Thanks. Then I suggest that IPB have a look at this for a coming release. At present it's an invitation to chaos and trolling.

Please post any suggestions in our official Feature Suggestion forum.

You can allow moderators/administrators to see who is posting so any moderation on these items would remain the same in that regard.
