LiquidFractal Posted October 25, 2022 Posted October 25, 2022 (edited) It would be nice to have buttons on the adminCP Support page which instantly purge the System and Error logs. This was made especially clear to me during the recent paradigm shift to PHP 8; the Compatibility Scanner (either alone or in conjunction with other elements of my test site) generated a 396MB System error log. While we're on the topic, just for the record I find it quite odd (to say the least) that while as Administrator I can set the Error logs to self-purge after 1 day, I have no choice for the System log and must set the purge time to at least 7 days. Zuh? This seems a bit nonsensical, especially since in my case I have since fixed what was generating the errors but have to include all of this (now junk) data in system backup files. LiquidFractal Posted October 25, 2022 Author Posted October 25, 2022 Much obliged @Adriano Faria. Not sure why this isn't native, but this will be very useful! 👍
Luuuk Posted October 25, 2022 Posted October 25, 2022 Great! How could I miss the plugin?! Till now I was truncating the core_log table.
DawPi Posted October 26, 2022 Posted October 26, 2022 I was using this mod too (with my changes to prune also e-mails logs): Not sure why author didn't marked it as compatible with 4.7.x series though. LiquidFractal 1
