Posted March 25, 20223 yr I have just migrated my site to a new server/hosting provider. The person who assisted me in migrating my site to IPS last year set up my site on a domain name not registered to me; therefore, I now want the IPS software I purchased to be licensed/connected to the domain name that I own. Please let me know what I need to do in order to make this change.
March 25, 20223 yr If you have a current license it's as easy as going into your >Client Area and >Manage this purchase and find Licensed URL's and Change Licensed URL. I don't know if you can do this without current license.
March 25, 20223 yr Community Expert Solution As @Bethanyrayne mentioned, you can change your license URL in the Client Area. A current license is required to change the license URL.

The problem is that the license is tied to a url that isn't mine, I don't own, but still shows up in MY account as having the software that I purchased licensed to that url. ^^ that is not my site domain. My site domain is https://eatingdisordercentral.com so will these steps solve my issue??

March 25, 20223 yr Community Expert That would be what your license URL is set to. As a license URL can only be set with a license key, you are responsible for safe-guarding your license key. If there is not an Invision Community installation at that URL, you will be able to reset it through this process we mentioned. If there is an Invision Community installation at that URL, you will need to ensure whoever owns it has removed your license key from operation.

I just want to remove it from my account completely.
March 25, 20223 yr Author apologies as I'm most definitely not tech savvy 🙁 one of my site admins is telling me we will be able to do this as you've outlined above once we take the site down and point the correct url to the new server. Ideally, I would still love nothing to do with tessorexia.com if possible after the fact
March 25, 20223 yr Community Expert You would need to not have anything present on the current URL showing.
