Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
Writerguysd Posted March 8, 2022 Posted March 8, 2022 Hello, Before, my participants could download audio files to their mobile devices. Now, they can only play them while in InvisionZone. Is there a way to get that back, or is there a plugin for that?
Jim M Posted March 8, 2022 Posted March 8, 2022 Sorry, there are no means in this. I would suggest using the Downloads application if you wish for your users to download files as this is what this application is meant for. Writerguysd 1
Writerguysd Posted March 9, 2022 Author Posted March 9, 2022 Thanks. I'll have to look at that. We've never had this issue until recently. Before, people could see the name of the download, but that's removed on computers as well.
Nathan Explosion Posted March 9, 2022 Posted March 9, 2022 You've said 'Before' twice now, and now 'recently' - before what? how recently? An upgrade of IPS software? If so, from what version to which version? If 4.5.x to 4.6.x then audio embed was added in 4.6.x, changing the precious "it's just an attachment, here's the link' behaviour to "here is the player", just like when video embed was added in IPS 4.4.x (happy to be wrong, it's late) If so then I can revisit this again later in the week:

Here's what I see with no download capability.
Marc Posted March 9, 2022 Posted March 9, 2022 The software will indeed show a player on the software. That was changed some time ago. There would be no way to download unless the operating system (the mobile) has the functionality for this
