I converted from vb to ipb and noticed that I also have this login ...

It allows your members to log in with their vBulletin password. If you disable it, anyone that hasn't already logged in since your conversion will not be able to login and will need to reset their password.

But when they access my forum for the first time then the password becomes ipb or remains that of vb?

It would become part of your Invision Community. It is only there to facilitate their first login from the converted software.

Of course, if you no longer wish for individuals from your converted software to login with their old accounts you can disable it but generally, we recommend leaving it there.
