I'm searching a way for to highlight the topic without answers (or with fewer answers).

To highligt them where? Most likely this will require custom coding.

While it's promising, it misses some features that are essential for this, like only showing results where a new reply could be added (excluding single post, locked threads, archived posts, etc.).

Actually I see that it's automatically include every topics, also topics duplicated (rule, guide, etc)...

I'd be happy to guide any developers through the logic they put in their applications and plugins from a user experience/interface perspective. It seems to be the little things like this that get things about 95% of the way, but miss the mark.
