svit Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 I know very little about Font Awesome, I would be interested in knowing more about application of FA within the IPS ecosystem. I would specifically like to know if or how IPS is currently natively supporting FA in 4.5? I would enjoy having the ability to use the FA on various icons across my sites. From the little I know about FA in IPS is the below: Searching in Admin Panel gives zero search result on 'awesome' There is a 3rd party plugin to introduce icon in front of usernames There is a 3rd party plugin to include FA in forum icons FA are free in its basic icons package (?) - and I assume the above apps operate with the free package FA Standard package is paid on $99/year basis, offering FA6 - If I ever purchase the package, how could I integrate it to IPS Many thanks.
Adriano Faria Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 IPS support ls FA 4.7 only and they are used on templates. svit 1
Jim M Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 I would suggest checking out their website, likely answer your basic questions. As we've installed everything for you in the base software, you just basically use the HTML wherever HTML is accepted in our software. FA example: https://fontawesome.com/v4.7.0/examples/ FA Icon list: https://fontawesome.com/v4.7.0/icons/ svit and bfarber 1 1
svit Posted August 19, 2020 Author Posted August 19, 2020 Thank you, the examples provided me with some good hints regarding the implementation via HTML, now the relation between the IPS core and FA it is becoming more clear to me..
