Staralfur
Hi can someone please help me. I just uploaded my files for a new community and went to /admin/install and get this error (attached). I've never had any error like this using IPB before. Appreciate any help, thank you.
SJ77
Is the path to your script correct in your config file?

I am using this installation guide: https://invisioncommunity.com/4guides/welcome/install-and-upgrade-r259/ On there it just says to upload the files and visit /admin/install. Did the installation procedure change? How/where do I edit the config file? I am just installing the script in the root folder. Thanks.
Black Tiger
In the error I read /opt/php70 but the minimal requirement for 4.4 is php 7.1. Maybe that has something to do with it too.
AndyF
You should not with a new install have to edit the config file unless the installer cannot do it. You are using php 7.1 yes ? (not 7.0 as IPS4.4 won't work on 7.0) 5 minutes ago, Black Tiger said: Maybe that has something to do with it too. Just saw your reply as I was typing mine. 🙂 Yes: You are correct in that that is your problem for sure with your php version. Ask your host if php7.1 is available. I did test it on 7.0 to see what happened a while back just out of curiosity (with an upgrade) and it threw an 'uncaught exception class' type error IIRC. I have noted actually not all hosts appear to offer 7.1 just yet for some reason, I looked at one a few minutes ago via the CPanel 'php version selector' (I'm not going to name them obviously) and it only went up as high as 7.0 with 5.6 as the current default. Staralfur
That's what it was, I was using 7.0 and I needed 7.1. All fixed now. Thanks friends.
