Last time I played around in that area, the word filter wasn't checked when email was the problem. So, is the user's display name the actual issue here?

Ultimately....you are going to have to provide:

• the user's email address
• their chosen display name
• your word filter list
• your email filter list

.....so that someone can actually see (and test) the issue you are claiming.

I would recommend submitting a ticket. Word filters should not apply to email address (but Ban Filters do, so you may want to check you haven't banned the email first).
