Just wonder! Because in the last 3 years the updates have been regular, not more than 2 months between the updates. Pay for 6 months is cheap if you have only the forum app but if you have all the apps the upgrade for 6 months is not cheap. If less updates, i asume it not worth to upgrade every 6 month. Now we been waiting for almost 4 months. The only thing we get is blog news.

I think most of it depends on the number of bugs reported. If there are a small number of reports, it is not worth released new update.

I would expect a release earlier if it would be new serious security gap.

We are currently waiting for IPS 4.4 so until then we will not see any updates.

Fewer updates is great. It means there's far greater stability, which means a) we have fewer updates to carry out across our sites and b) the devs get more time to develop new features, such as 4.4, which is coming soon.

Also keep in mind that thanks to our lovely patch system we don't need to create a fully new release each time when we need to deploy a critical bugfix.
