Minimum Characters/Words in Posts&Topic Titles (Forum Basis)

As  @Faqole requested, I ask support here.
 

The plugin does not work on my platform.
That's what i did:

1. Activate the plugin;
2. Set only 1 exclusion in the plugin, for admin accounts (but no changes to what i wrote down here if I remove the exclusion);
3. Set a sub section of the forum with MAX limit 8000 characters (others limits set to 0);
4. Tried to insert a topic with 20000 character or so, no effects, topic successffully inserted;
5. While i was IN the topic, moderators setting do not work (tried to delete the topic, get error code QTE/1);
6. Was fine to delet the topic OUT of it, in the section screen;
7. While I was doing this tests, I saw (and other Staffer said to me) that Notification not work, every message inserted was successfully posted but invisible right after. We could communicate only trought private message;
8. The moment I disabled the plugin, all turns back to normal.

Today i tried to disable all other plugins and try this one with no interferences: same result.
As you see, I cant test so much or activate the plguin for long periods, cause my platform goes in chaos.

Seems this plugin doesn't work with the OP. I was able to create a thread with just one character when the minimum words were set at 10. However, the warning does show up in responses which require 10 words in "responses" to the OP.

Recommendation: It would be also nice if one could set a global forum requirement instead of having to set each forum and sub forum independently. This was excruciating on a forum with lots of forums and sub-forums.

I was interested in purchasing this but if there is no support and it doesn't work then it's kinda pointless. I just need the minimum char count to work. Can anyone confirm that's working?

Hello,

The plugin works fine. It has been tested by the MP moderators before being approved.

And I do provide support, but the user in question does not give me access to his forum and without access there is not much that I can do.

Sorry, that's not correct:) 

We check in accordance with our guidelines, but it is not certifying that the resource is bug free. We ensure that it won't break anything in the core, we ensure that it moves uploaded files if the file storage changes, we ensure that it follows the rules from our guides like that you have to call the parent method and such stuff, but it's not our responsibility to test the functionality of MP submissions. We stopped this a while ago because some people abused the MP and the MP moderators as their free testers.

I did not claim that it was bug free, only that it has been tested/checked by you guys. And I am sure that you would not leave items in MP if they did not work or broke the forum in some way or other.

True, we can't provide access to our forum or ftp, and that's on us; our problem.

But every other support requested in private form have always the same response: extra payment or others. We already (and rightly) spent money for the plugin, and even an extra for adding the limit to Topics too (first post).

We asked the creator support the first time: he said that may one of the plugins that we have installed may interfere and causing conflicts. For that, he would have to recode a good portion of the plugin and that would take some time and it falls under extras. But he wanted to charge not money for it, but 15 posts/topics at his forum (?). We obviusly rejected.

Then we asked a TeamViewer session to find this problem on ftp: he rejected.

At the end, on the third request for support, Faqole says that he can try to istall the complete list of plugins and apps that we have at his test forum and work there. But this will cost another extra, 25 euro. We rejected.

End of story.

The issues that you are claiming to have can not be reproduced by me. I gave you access to my forum as well where you checked it out and admited that it worked fine.

The plugins are developed to work on a vanilla version of the forum and not to be compatible with any plugins that you have installed. You have quite a lot of plugins installed, some of them downloaded from warez sites. One of them might cause a conflict, and all they had to be checked to see if it interefers with my plugin, and all that cost time. I asked you for access to your forum to check the issue there, you refused. I asked you to send me all custom plugins/apps that you have installed so I could install them at my test forum and see if I could fine which one causes the conflict. And of course I charge extra for this as it takes quite some time. You refused again. That is fine, but unless I develop psychic powers or consult the magic 8 ball, there is nothing that I can do.

It is stated clearly at the overview/description, that the plugin works with posts only and not for topics. So your issue is non existant.

Ah, that explains it. Since I have a non existent issue there is no need for hired services or even recommendation for an added feature to better the product. No problem (no pun intended), I yield to your logic.

Hi there - I am interested in something like this. I want to impose a minimum character amount so members have to post say 50 characters or more (versus commenting with an emoji).

Any alternatives seeing as this plugin is outdated?
