vanderbroms Posted February 15, 2018 Posted February 15, 2018 Is there anyway/anywhere I can turn off Exif Data to be shown when uploading photos into galleries?
bfarber Posted February 15, 2018 Posted February 15, 2018 You would need to either 1) Disable the EXIF module in PHP or 2) Edit the templates to remove the data and link to view all the data There is no setting to turn this off. I will note, however, that geolocation data is stripped automatically if users do not elect to show a map of where the photo was taken (when geolocation data is available).

Thanks.
bfarber Posted February 19, 2018 Posted February 19, 2018 We don't explicitly strip geolocation data from the images that are attachments, however other settings may result in this happening regardless (such as the "maximum image size to store" setting).
Joel R Posted February 20, 2018 Posted February 20, 2018 If you want to scrub your images in advance, I can recommend: http://www.exifpurge.com/
invisiblekid Posted February 20, 2018 Posted February 20, 2018 The problem with removing all EXIF data is that photos lose their orientation data and some are rotated 90 degrees.
vanderbroms Posted February 22, 2018 Author Posted February 22, 2018 The photos I wanted to strip down on technical information regarding exif-data belong to my own photo portfolio and I just re-proofed them to not show exif-data. Cause why would I want to make my competition any wiser This is done simple via Breezebrowser Pro or PhotoMechanic. I just need to remember to keep doing it in the future
