Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
cofee_iv Posted November 22, 2017 Posted November 22, 2017 When I share a link to my forum on Facebook, there is this message that always shows up and I cannot edit it out, "Sorry, you do not have permission for that!" It is really bad PR when I am trying to get people to come, not tell them they can't get in. Is there a way to edit this?
opentype Posted November 22, 2017 Posted November 22, 2017 Do you have an example URL? If you don’t allow guest access for the URLs you share, this message is expected.
cofee_iv Posted November 22, 2017 Author Posted November 22, 2017 Hmmm. I think I understand. Makes sense. Still, is there any way to get rid of that verbiage?
Management Matt Posted November 22, 2017 Management Posted November 22, 2017 Can you show us a screenshot please? If you're pasting a link into Facebook, and the auto generated preview shows an error message, there isn't much you can do about that if guests cannot see the topic, then Facebook won't be able to either.

You bet. Oh well.... thought I'd ask. It always bothers me when I post a link to the forum and that comes up.
Meddysong Posted November 22, 2017 Posted November 22, 2017 I've just headed over to your site and tried to visit your forum. All I'm seeing is a link to register. If you don't allow guests to see the content you're promoting, then non-members (which includes Facebook and Twitter) won't be able to see it. You need to change your permissions so that guests can see the content you're linking to.
