Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
Telemacus2 Posted February 26, 2017 Posted February 26, 2017 I got an email from google a couiple of days ago: Nonsecure Collection of Passwords will trigger warnings in Chrome Beginning in January 2017, Chrome (version 56 and later) will mark pages that collect passwords or credit card details as “Not Secure” unless the pages are served over HTTPS. The new warning is the first stage of a long-term plan to mark all pages served over the non-encrypted HTTP protocol as “Not Secure”. Here’s how to fix this problem: USE HTTPS. So, does Invision power recommend that we all use https now?
markymids Posted March 1, 2017 Posted March 1, 2017 Does anyone know if there's any task to convert all http served images to https images served by the imageproxy? I've enabled https but I get mixed content messages on legacy posts.
opentype Posted March 2, 2017 Posted March 2, 2017 No, there is no stock feature to convert the existing content at once. It does work for individual posts if you simply edit them. There are lots of topics around this, but there wasn’t a single statement from IPS if and when they might address this.

Subseven Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 Obtain a SSL certificate through your host or another provider. Some hosts have free ones with your hosting.
