Anton Karabanov Posted November 28, 2018 Posted November 28, 2018 Omg plugin not hiding images ... hide only emoticons/emojis, if choose "hide all content" worked correctly.
Nathan Explosion Posted November 28, 2018 Author Posted November 28, 2018 (edited) Not seeing any issues with hiding linked images here - can you provide a link to the topic so I can take a closer look at the content? I do see any issue with attachments though; is the image you are trying to hide an uploaded image or a linked image? (important distinction) Edited November 28, 2018 by Nathan Explosion
Nathan Explosion Posted November 28, 2018 Author Posted November 28, 2018 (edited) Confirmed via PM - it's an uploaded image, which is handled via the attachments settings (it's an attachment) and not via the images settings (that is for 'Linked images' as indicated in the setting) Anyway....as mentioned, I have spotted an issue in the attachments handling as there appears to have been a change somewhere along the line with how IPS now add uploaded images in to the HTML for handling via the lightbox. It's no longer an image wrapped in an <a> element, it's now explicitly just an image. Update will be ready later. Edited November 28, 2018 by Nathan Explosion Natea 1
Nathan Explosion Posted November 28, 2018 Author Posted November 28, 2018 I've decided to make a change to bring image attachments in under control of the Images settings, instead of explicitly treating them as attachments. Will be testing tomorrow, and should be ready for release late tomorrow. Natea 1
Nathan Explosion Posted November 29, 2018 Author Posted November 29, 2018 What's new/fixed in 2.2.8 The 'Hide linked images' setting now handles images uploaded as attachments, instead of explicitly handling them as attachments. (setting has been renamed to 'Hide images') Natea 1
Nathan Explosion Posted December 12, 2018 Author Posted December 12, 2018 (edited) What's new in 2.3.0 functionality has been extended to the database records in Pages, allowing the hiding of content with the record itself and comments added to that record. What's fixed in 2.3.0 changes made to better handle hiding of images, both remotely linked and uploaded as attachments. If anyone has any issues with this then please do not contact me via PM unless requested - use this support topic to report issues. Edited December 12, 2018 by Nathan Explosion Natea and Qubabos 2
Qubabos Posted December 12, 2018 Posted December 12, 2018 links are visible in All Activity (*/discover/ url) section os IPS Community, but are locked in topic view - by design ? 1 hour ago, Nathan Explosion said: allowing the hiding of content with the record itself and comments added to that record any chance to include comments but exclude records content (articles in database) ? fine solution for articles that has linked topics in forums (topics stores comments for article) - both sections will have blocked links.
Nathan Explosion Posted December 12, 2018 Author Posted December 12, 2018 The plugin hides content when viewing topics and database records only. 5 minutes ago, Qubabos said: any chance to include comments but exclude records content (articles in database) ? fine solution for articles that has linked topics in forums (topics stores comments for article) - both sections will have blocked links. Maybe...taking a little break from this plugin for a few days to work on other items, so will revisit that then.
Nathan Explosion Posted December 14, 2018 Author Posted December 14, 2018 What's fixed in 2.3.1 tweaks made to correct situations where non-Forum/CMS content was being parsed. Natea 1

Just to clarify this request - you want to be able to hide content in the comments on a database record, but not in the main database record itself?

Nathan Explosion Posted December 14, 2018 Author Posted December 14, 2018 (edited) Perfect - I will split them out and add them in on the next bug-fix release. Edited December 14, 2018 by Nathan Explosion Qubabos 1
JReviews Posted December 15, 2018 Posted December 15, 2018 Hi Just purchased the plugin and I can't figure out where to find the settings! In the plugins page I see an "edit" icon and when I click on that a dialog appears with "Something went wrong. Please try again.". Can you point me in the right direction? Using Invision Community v4.3.6 and plugin version 2.3.1.
Nathan Explosion Posted December 15, 2018 Author Posted December 15, 2018 I would need ACP access to see why the settings are triggering that.
Nathan Explosion Posted December 16, 2018 Author Posted December 16, 2018 What's fixed in v2.3.1a replacement content for 'All content' no longer breaks meta description information if a link is included in the replacement content. replacement content for 'All content' now display correctly in the posts. settings no longer fail to load if Pages is not installed. Nathan Explosion Posted January 28, 2019 Author Posted January 28, 2019 Notice regarding IPS 4.4.0 beta 1 This plugin has been tested against IPS 4.4.0 beta 1 and works as expected. If you decide to update to IPS 4.4.0 beta 1 and find a bug with this plugin then please feel free to report it here but do not expect a fix for the bug until IPS 4.4.0 has exited the beta/release candidate process and has been fully released. Nathan Explosion Posted February 9, 2019 Author Posted February 9, 2019 What's new in v2.3.2 addition of new setting to force quoted images to be converted to links (see here for background information) Pages databases functionality now allows control over Records and Comments separately Want to hide content in database records, but not in comments made on that record? Want to hide content in comments in some databases, but not on any of the records? What to hide content in all records and comments? Support requirements for issues with the above: Images in quotes: I will need to be able to view the content to take a closer look at the linked image to see if there is something different about the html code Pages: will need to see a screenshot of your settings for 'Pages databases' and will need a link to page with the relevant content being shown.
JReviews Posted February 9, 2019 Posted February 9, 2019 Thanks for this plugin and the updates. I would like to suggest a feature where for forum posts, instead of showing replacement text for every reply, only the original post is shown and underneath it the message requesting the user to log in. Some topics can have many pages of replies and that would be a good improvement.
Nathan Explosion Posted February 9, 2019 Author Posted February 9, 2019 (edited) Maybe in a much later version...I am making no commitment to adding anything like that though; similar has been requested previously, I've looked at it before and it's not worth the time I'd likely need to put in to it. Edited February 9, 2019 by Nathan Explosion
JReviews Posted February 9, 2019 Posted February 9, 2019 Of course, I understand. It's just a suggestion 😎
AlexWebsites Posted February 9, 2019 Posted February 9, 2019 What I like about replacement text is that the user can see how many replies and by whom, so it may stimulate a login. If they only see the first post, they may think there’s no replies, unless you somehow show how many replies the topic has.
Qubabos Posted February 9, 2019 Posted February 9, 2019 Quote functionality has been extended to the database records in Pages, allowing the hiding of content with the record itself and comments added to that record. leaving content untouched and hide only in comments doesnt work in pages database.

Maybe this is the issue here. I doesnt work at all for all hidden content - spoilers, code boxes and links. In forums topcis works fine. Edited February 9, 2019 by Qubabos
Nathan Explosion Posted February 9, 2019 Author Posted February 9, 2019 (edited) That's a link to a forum topic, so can I have a link to a pages databaae please? If, by any chance (you've not indicated this so it's a guess), you are using the functionality which posts comments on a record in the forum then you will need to handle that using the Forums and topics tab, with the pages side handled via the Pages database tab.
