Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
Gabriel Torres Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 Hi, Here is my problem. I created an exact clone of my install for debugging purposes on a different URL, and now this second test install is sending out emails to all users, so users get all notifications twice, one from the official install and another from the test install. I am wondering how I could prevent this from happening. Maybe there is an SQL query that I could run? Or maybe I could set the default for notifications to not include email notifications and run a tool to set all users to this new default? The main issue is with digests and email notifications for topics and forums. I wanted to simply wipe out these, but I don't know how/where. Thanks in advance.
Adlago Posted August 26, 2016 Posted August 26, 2016 Try this 1. Open cPanel PHP myadmin table core_notificaton_defaults Column 'default' found cell content 'email' By double-clicking on an 'email' and select from the drop down inline Similarly to table 'core_notificaton_preferences'
Gabriel Torres Posted August 27, 2016 Author Posted August 27, 2016 Many thanks, Adlago! You really helped me! However, I still need a confirmation whether the digests and forum/topics "follows" are handled by these tables or by a different set of tables. Thanks.
Kjell Iver Johansen Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 I had the same issue with my testboard - and here is the advice I got then - it works fine BTW
