Follower19 Posted May 8, 2016 Posted May 8, 2016 How to track registration in IPBoard forum with Google Analytics?. in which file and place I need to add the goal code ?
Apfelstrudel Posted May 9, 2016 Posted May 9, 2016 You don't need to add a goal code to ipb. Just create a GA goal with following parameters: Goal URL: /forum/register/?do=validating Step 1 URL: /forum/register/ If you also want to track validated members use: Goal URL: /forum/register/?do=validate Step 1 URL: /forum/register/ Step 2 URL: /forum/register/?do=validating That's how I do it.
Nathan Explosion Posted May 9, 2016 Posted May 9, 2016 All assuming you've already put the google analytics tracking code in to the google analytics tracking code box in the ACP, which is found by typing google in to the search and clicking the relevant result.
EricT Posted May 9, 2016 Posted May 9, 2016 I tried it, but it doesn't work for me. I have only result for /register but not /register/?do=validating Other topic about it here :

It's not working for me, because when somebody register - his URL path is just /register/

EricT Posted May 11, 2016 Posted May 11, 2016 Hi, Is it working for you @Apfelstrudel ? I don't understand why this solution is not working at all on my site.
Apfelstrudel Posted May 12, 2016 Posted May 12, 2016 Yes, it is. But goal 2 of my examples works not in 100% of the cases. I think the problem is that the validating page doesn't run the necessary GA code before it does the page redirect. Goal 1 works perfectly.
