Gabriel Torres Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 Hi, My suggestion is an option/button to allow moderators to remove HTML formatting from a post. Thanks, Gabriel.
AutoItScript Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 There used to be one but it's vanished. Not sure if it's a bug or they thought it was no longer required with the recent changes. My members have been asking for it too since my 4.1 upgrade,
chilihead Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 It's there but looks like italics, would be better if an eraser or similar.
AutoItScript Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 Ah sorry, I meant the "paste without formatting" button. That's gone.

Why does it need a button when if you paste something you get a dialogue box at the bottom of the editor asking if you'd like to remove format from the stuff you just pasted?

Because the dialog box only appears to the user who actually paste the contents. So, let's say a user posted something and left the formatting there, but it is breaking our layout for some reason, we need the moderators to be able to remove the formatting from that particular post. But the button exists, it was just that it was disabled in our install... See below. @chilihead many thanks, I had NO CLUE that this button existed. Yeah, that is what we were looking for. The functionality is there, it was my bad folks! CASE CLOSED!
