Peter Parker
In ipb3 series there was an option to have a different login than the display name. Is this function available in ipb4 series? My admin accounts are under constant brute force attempts and I can't even login to the admin cp because my account is locked

Peter Parker
I don't see it though. Could you post a screenshot so I can search for it, please?

There is no separate user name/display name on 4.x. Instead, you can use one of the following for login: Display Name Email Address Display Name or Email Address Where? ACP -> System -> (Settings) Login Handler -> Standard -> Edit
icedream
Sorry, my bad. When I saw brute force attempts, I thought you were searching for admin folder renaming...It is in ACP -> System -> Security, you could also add an secondary admin password. Peter Parker
The acp is not the focus. That has been renamed. Even though they aren't bruteforcing the acp, the system locks the account from logging in anywhere. I wonder why they removed that function for a different display name than login. Anyway thanks guys.
