chilihead Posted September 21, 2015 Share Posted September 21, 2015 In the Status Updates default stream here, the expanded/condensed view does nothing, yes this is WAI because they are always expanded by design, but when they are in their own stream that makes it look like a bug. Also if you look at it now someone added a huge image that takes up a whole page in the stream. Condensed should be possible in all streams no matter the content. Also since status updates are not bumped or marked new with a reply, there is no difference in the "Content items only" and "Content items, comments, and reviews" setting. This is noticed more when in their own stream, as it does nothing to the list, but they should be bumped, or the new action should be listed on its own line (as I have suggested before). Or at least use the same profile pic size and text size, and hide replies with a "more" function, etc. (As stated, when in their own stream it looks like a bug that the toggle does absolutely nothing). Scenario: When creating a new stream members are going to not include status updates because they are always expanded, and take up too much space. If you offer condensed (with a "more" function to see the replies, etc.), they will be more apt to include them in their stream, so when they view in condensed, they do not stick out like a sore thumb. Maybe someone wants to view Topics and Status Updates, but the updates take up too much real estate because in condensed mode they are still expanded. So the member takes them out, making site activity go down overall. And plans to treat their new content (replies) as new? Kind of odd it's the only content not bumped with an action. Looks like condensed view changed for all content and has a few bugs, I'll let that work itself out. Still hoping status update replies can bump it or the reply can be listed as an action.
